Was great service to start with everything seemed fine and I was very happy, but then came no communication my delivery was late even though I scheduled a day for drop off. When the truck finally arrived it only had half of my order I was.missing my ladder and two.leather couches which are very expensive. It has now been over a week and I still have not heard from Conroy's regarding the rest of my furniture I'm very disappointed as I had paid in full for all items to be delivered from wellington to auckland and i have only received half of my delivery and still have no word on where these items are. Very poor communication and I'm highly disgusted that there has been no information on the wear about of the rest of my furniture. Not happy!!!
No communication with office when truck didn't turn up on time. In effect it was 1.5 hrs late and I had to cancel appointments and rush to my last appointment. Very stressful and very disappointing.
Unfortunately I can't say I would use you again and the main reason was just the lack of comminication.I can understand I booked and paid for my stuff to be collected at a busy time in early December but all indications were it would be delivered to me 7-10 days later. It was delivered to me almost 8 weeks later with no communication from you in between. It appears my goods were accidentally separated from the paperwork and therefore everytime I called they didn't know where they were. As it turned out they never left Napier. The items were sentimental so it was actually causing me a bit of anxiety and stress as I thought they were lost. If I could give you one piece of feedback I would say please just communicate. I rang every week and emailed and I got fobbed off everytime- told you would call me back but noone ever did so I had to keep calling. I can understand that things go wrong but just a phone call or an email updating me on what was being done to find my stuff would have made the whole thing a lot better.
I have already contacted Conroy-one of the staff who turned up was not fit for work. I had to provide labour in the removal of our household. One staff member was excellent and the other a liability. Besides not being fit for work he was clumsy and started causing damage to our possessions. He was removed and collected by your manager.
The initial experience with sales and having a quote done was fantastic. Despite a small hiccough which led to sales being late for the quote, we were happy with the service. Communication leading up to packing day was sometimes very good and sometimes very bad. No phone calls were returned, and only some emails replied to. But if you got through to someone on the phone they were all very helpful. Packing day did not go as promised. We were told we would have multiple packers and uplift would start on the first day. We were then told we would have only one packer, no uplift on the first day. We expressed concern with only one packer and were reassured it would be fine. It was not. The packer came back with help on the second day (the day planned for uplift). Uplift then happened on a third day which we were promised would not be required, and thus had not taken into account when planning leave from work etc. Uplift was quick, the packers and movers on that day were brilliant, and we felt as though our belongings were being taken good care of.
Our goods arrived in New Zealand with a roughly accurate timeframe despite Covid-19. When everything was delivered the packaging on many things had been damaged. Our larger items were being dragged along the ground. Heavy boxes were stacked on top of delicate items like our TV. Packaging had been removed from the weightlifting equipment and stickers placed directly onto the equipment, I don't even know how to get these labels off but they're stuck onto multiple items really well. We were told some items were still being cleared by MPI. We were then told that they were actually already cleared but they had just forgotton to pack them onto the truck. When this second delivery happened they were hours late and didnt care.
We also had a car moved. We were really impressed with the care taken by Sydney when they received the car. However on arrival to New Zealand we could see issues. Conroys was informed that the car would not start, however someone had clearly tried to. Additionally, there is a small scuff mark that was not there before.
Really really disappointed with the lack of care taken with our belongings, and with organisation/honesty with communication. We had had a good experience with Conroys years ago, and can safely say that the quality of care and business has gone downhill since then
I paid a lot of money for moving and packing. The packing that was done by Jay's partner was a apauling
Nothing much wrapped by her just thrown into a box to rattle around. Glass where no wrapped separately pack
3-4 together so of course a lot of breakage. Heavy things stacked on top of fine glass ware
Tops on cleaning g products loose so leaked through all items, and cleaning products packed with stuff you would not put together.
My furniture was packed very well so pleased with that.
Clothes just squashed into ordinary boxes not in long boxes or cloth boxes so very thing a mess when taken out of boxes
As I said paid a lot of money to move and for packing for packing so completly ripped off
The men that un-packed my belongings at my destination were great
Turned up 3 hours late. Management did not care. Broke two lazy boys. Totally the worst service I have ever had to deal with.
My house hold lot of furniture was stored for 6 months. When I had it delivered to my new address everything single thing I owned I was completely mouldy.
I was called the day before the move telling me that the movers will be at my address at 8am. I get a call at 807am I get a call saying that they will be here in 30 mins. 930am movers arrive.
Once the movers arrived, I could quickly tell that one person is experienced and knows what he is doing. Two others had very little clue about what/how to move things. One guy spent half the time standing and watching other people do things. I'm sure I moved and helped more than this guy did.
After having a few chit chats I learnt that the two were temps from a temping agency.
When I pay an hourly rate of $230, I expect three professionals that are reasonably experienced.
I expected the move to take 2-3 hours. I took almost five.
You offered no apology for being late and wasting my time and offered no discount for having two very incompetant movers and took every cent.
The only thing positive was that all three movers were polite.
