Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersThe people who came to our house at both ends to move the stuff we're very good. However, I was very disappointed with the customer service in terms of communication. Also I have sent an email of complaint about not getting the service I was expecting and have not had a reply. I will not be recommending this company to anyone. I will also make sure I tell people about my negative experience.
The nz side of your service was quite good ,once the shipment arrived in Australia things were poorly handled , I held back from doing this earlier as the language would of been quite colourful,the container arrived at its destination and the driver and his coworker had no way of opening the container because they left the bolt cutters at the depot , they ask me to get some for em by the time I got back he had located a hammer , I notice that my golf driver shaft was broken ,my awning had parts missing ,when i looked into the container everything was poorly packed and I dread to open the rest of my boxes for fear things would be damaged ,when i asked why my cases were so badly scuffed and damaged ,the reply was we had to move the cases from multiple locations , in Australia you showed no care ,professionalism or pride,maybe should change you name to rough guts removals,I've relocated on numerous occasions and this was the worst experience.
2 hours late on the pick up - and not even a call to let me know. Dented wall and smashed cot on drop off. 3 weeks on still our cot doesn't work and no confirmation of how you will resolve this. The most frustrating thing is I wanted a premium service so selected you as the higher of the quotes I received. Your service was appalling. We are still discovering more damage. I get the impression that's actually the standard of service you provide.
Unfortunately your team really let the South African Magna Thomson down. I would not recommend your team. My things were delivered in level 3 so no unpacking was done (understandably). I called for the recycling to be recollect today. Things did not run smoothly and Tony was very angry with me on the phone when I expressed my frustration. I then came home to find your truck has returned for the recycling for the second time today and the driver was aggressive and rude to me. I actually felt threatened by him and his hostility. The driver also swore in front of my 9 year old sons saying 'this is a lot of ******* boxes' which I do not appreciate. He had come to fetch the boxes from an international house removal? How many boxes did he expect to find? Overall I had a bad experience and your driver today was the final straw. I am lodging a formal complaint with Magna Thomson and advising them to partner with someone else this side.
Very annoyed to be receiving this generic email 2 days after receiving the same email and responding requesting feedback regarding the item of furniture of that you had lost, Conroy's management obviously do not bother to read or respond to these surveys Regards Jon
I sent this email to a few of your employees but have had no response."I have a bit of a grievance with my items here, and my overall experience with Conroys.
The team in Wellington who picked up my belongings, arrived at about 6pm on Wednesday 24th February, and didn't leave until nearly 8pm.
During this time, they were complaining amongst themselves that "this was meant to be a small job" and other negative murmurings.
I don't know why they arrived to do the job so late but they weren't happy about it.
One of the movers was a woman who seemed to be in a relationship with another mover. I presume she was not employed by conroy as she was being told how to ticket items and it came across like it was her first time. I asked her about this and she said that it was her first time and that she is currently looking for a job. She was also moving around my items.
I became a bit distrusting because of this, and their overall negative energy. I had a feeling my things were not going to be well cared for because of their rush.
The men who dropped my belongings off today were happy and professional. They apologised for the state of the packing on the truck and my damaged items, and said that I should contact Conroy about it even though I listed "owners risk".
I feel that this is a little beyond "owners risk"
My refrigerator has more scuff marks on the sides (it's now plugged in) and my microwave is missing a foot with one in the photo about to come loose.
One of my TV's is also missing a gel pad on the foot.
I noticed and was informed that my belongings were taken off the truck and re packaged somewhat (mattresses for example)."I provided photographs in the emails of the dents and scuffs on my frigde, washing machine, the bottom of my microwave, and scuff marks on my tv stand. Upon further inspection of my items, my couch which was placed against my wall upon arrival (so I didn't see at first) has wood chips all stuck inside the fabric, as if it was dragged against a wood pallet. My large flatscreen TV is also missing a gel pad and upon placing it on my tv stand, further damaged the surface of the tv stand.I am severely not happy with this level of service and I believe it is definitely beyond "owners risk", it feels like negligence. I would appreciate a response as I have not had one from any of your employees.Thanks,Lorien
Promised and paid for services were omitted, our property was treated badly and some hasn't yet been delivered. I run a company that has used Conroy extensively to freight joinery into Wellington from Christchurch, Auckland and Rotorua - I'll be seeking feedback from the team about their experiences now. Just really disappointed with what has always been a good company!
The whole experience with Conroys was terrible. I had booked for the furniture to be collected on the 1st of February and it was only collected on the 6th of February. I had emailed numerous times before and was told that operations would get back to me. They never did. I had to call them. This only happened because I called and insisted that it happened as it was due to be delivered in Dunedin on the 11th. As a result the furniture wasn't delivered in time and my daughter, who was going back to uni ,had to sleep on the floor until the furniture was finally delivered on the 18th, a whole week later than was booked.
40% of our shipment did not turn up with our delivery today.... we had no response from head office in auckland from 1.30pm today Australia time to understand where it all could be. Aswell, a lot of items weren't wrapped properly, in particular our high value items. Speakers and sound system at bottom of a box wrapped in paper and no bubble wrap. My zebra hide that I indiciated should have been easy to find for customs purposes was stuffed into a kitchenware box and I am laying books on it to flatten out. 4K tv worth $5000 was wrapped in one layer of wrap etc.
Hoping the rest of our shipment arrives soon.
Had to physically visit the Napier depot twice to get anywhere in arranging a collection date even though the date was specified in the booking form & that was the basis of us choosing to go ahead & use you. Nobody answered your reception phones in 3 days of calling & even when we had a DDI for a staff member & left her 2 voicemail messages pleading for a call back, she didn't bother.
The people picking up & delivering are great, but the admin/management/communications people in your offices are beyond hopeless.
Where is my container? I was told between 4 and 6 weeks. It's been almost 12 and still nothing. Just a bill for the incineration of a Christmas ornament. Thanks
