I requested and got a quote from Conroy for the removal of furniture from a lock up and from a rental property to move back to our renovated home. I accepted the quote and received an email confirming the quote acceptance. I rang Conroy the day before we were due to move and was told by the lady on the phone that my account was still 'pending' as I had not accepted the quote and there were no trucks booked to do my removal.
I received an email shortly after my telephone call confirming removal from the 2 sites. I also received a telephone call confirming a truck would be at the lock up at 12.30pm and shortly after the 2nd truck would be at the rental house location. The first truck showed up on time at the lock up - an articulated lorry which could have done both locations quite easily but one of the moving guys who was working on his day off was in a hurry to finish the job as he was meant to be going to Rotorua for the marathon. Meanwhile I was at the rental property waiting for the second truck. I received 2 phone calls assuring me the truck was on the way but I could not get an estimate on when it would arrive. It did not arrive until after 5.30pm as the crew had to come all the way from Karaka. I cannot fault the workers. They were great and did a fantastic job. The administration of the job was totally unacceptable and made a stressful time even more so. I recommend when these things do happen give the customer a realistic idea of how the move will be. If I was told that yes we have got trucks to do the job but they won't be with you until very late in the day I would be more happy than being kept blind about when they might show up. For this reason I would not use Conroy Removals again.
Received my household stuff very late with broken things and one item lost item. very disappointed
Conroy moved my stuff from Christchurch to Hamilton with a 2.5 month storage in Napier. All of my furniture were damaged (to the point that I can't use them) and my boxes were quite deformed. They also forgot one item and promised to get in touch with me about it but didn't. It required me making 3 phone calls to make sure that someone was actually looking for it. When I've made a claim about my damaged items, I've been told they don't accept it. It's clear how my things arrived that my things were handled with very little care. It's despicable and I would never use this company again.
Had so many issues with Conroys during my move. I had made an out of storage request to get my furniture delivered to my property which was confirmed via email. When the day finally came, I had no communication from them until I rung and was told that it was missed off the list and they couldn't deliver it. I then rescheduled to the following Saturday and had to ring again on the Friday to confirm that it was still being delivered and what time. Finally when my furniture was delivered, it came damaged, my brand new bed only had 3 bed legs, a drawer was ripped off with scratches and dents all over the top of my set and only half of the parts needed to assemble my desk could be located. Super disappointed as none of my furniture is now usable.
Your website application was not referred on to ChCh branch causing considerable confusion and huge delays before I realized the problem and then went personally to ChCh branch depot for the standard of service I expected. Sarah and the staff there were most accommodating. Also the pickup person's were brilliant.
The experience I had with Conroy was quite honestly terrible. I will be telling people that I meet and on the web what type of customer service and moving company that Conroy is. Especially my contacts in the shipping industry in NZ.
Where is my container? I was told between 4 and 6 weeks. It's been almost 12 and still nothing. Just a bill for the incineration of a Christmas ornament. Thanks
The people who came to our house at both ends to move the stuff we're very good. However, I was very disappointed with the customer service in terms of communication. Also I have sent an email of complaint about not getting the service I was expecting and have not had a reply. I will not be recommending this company to anyone. I will also make sure I tell people about my negative experience.
The nz side of your service was quite good ,once the shipment arrived in Australia things were poorly handled , I held back from doing this earlier as the language would of been quite colourful,the container arrived at its destination and the driver and his coworker had no way of opening the container because they left the bolt cutters at the depot , they ask me to get some for em by the time I got back he had located a hammer , I notice that my golf driver shaft was broken ,my awning had parts missing ,when i looked into the container everything was poorly packed and I dread to open the rest of my boxes for fear things would be damaged ,when i asked why my cases were so badly scuffed and damaged ,the reply was we had to move the cases from multiple locations , in Australia you showed no care ,professionalism or pride,maybe should change you name to rough guts removals,I've relocated on numerous occasions and this was the worst experience.
2 hours late on the pick up - and not even a call to let me know. Dented wall and smashed cot on drop off. 3 weeks on still our cot doesn't work and no confirmation of how you will resolve this. The most frustrating thing is I wanted a premium service so selected you as the higher of the quotes I received. Your service was appalling. We are still discovering more damage. I get the impression that's actually the standard of service you provide.
Very unhappy with the service of Conroy removals. They did not deliver on the date as per agreed, and no care was taken while loading from truck to trailer to truck again. When they opened the truck, all boxes were damages and BBQ's too. There was absolutely no care taken or given. All boxe with fragile stickers and '' this side up'' markings were on there sides or even upside down, while some being completly squashed.
