Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersStarted off great. I had excellent service from MaryAnne during what was a very frustrating time with the Covid lockdown. I had very confusing emails from a lady who didn't really answer my questions but was quick to send repeated invoices with half arsed explanations on what forms needed to be filled in. As a company it would be prudent if you would simplify the forms for people who have paid in advance. The lady could use some training on handling customer queries.I did make a point of asking when I had to reschedule our move due to the level restrictions if it was possible to move it again without issues, and was reassured over the phone, that it was best to make a date ASAP so it would be easier to change later on. When I emailed to do that after the second delay with lockdown I got a frustrated call from someone, who literally growled on the phone at me, after I explained how having to push our move date even further would cost my husband his job, and that his call was causing me to be late for a Zoom meeting. His attitude was belittling and rude. Would not recommend your service to anyone. I got far better assistance from other movers in the area, who were readily available to help us, even with the level 3 delays, and didn't make any guttural grunts at us on the phone.
Communication - Poor. I recieved a call after 6pm the night before our uplift date confirming the time the truck would be there. This was later in teh day than anticipated and caused disruption to our move by delaying our plans significantly. A new delivery date was not confirmed with me following the change in uplift date that I had requested (I was only told the 5th or 6th). Conroys contacted my delivery contact to inform them of a time and date on the day of delivery (1pm, 5th of Oct.) and then arrived two hours earlier than the specified time. I was not contacted about this.
Service - Multiple items were damaged beyond repaid (bunk beds broken, record cabinet scratched and chipped sigificantly, high chair damaged to the point that it was unuseable, lowboy dresser completely torn apart and delivered in multiple pieces broken). Delivery staff shrugged this off stating that I had not paid for insurance. This response and the significant damage incurred shows the lack of care that the Conroys staff took for our belongings. I am very frustrated by this outcome and will not be recommending Conroys, I will also be posting negative reviews of your services online.
We have used conroys before just 6 months ago and we're happy with the service we received. However, this time, we were left bitterly disappointed. The move with slightly less to move than last time took twice as long and therefore cost us twice as much with similar access and distance between houses as last time. And we also had irreparable damage to a $2500 electronic item that was well wrapped by the removal guys but obviously too tightly tied in to the truck as it cracked the frame.

4 months later and I still don't have my stuff. Packing took hours longer than expected. Labels were not initially brought. Confusion about process.
Poor service, rushed us for business, charged an arm an leg for the service & a clearance at arrival port, not a great service & communication sucked, did not verbally communicate the risks.
Our shipment arrived last Friday afternoon, over 3 months after the pick up in HCMC, Vietnam.
We were extremely disappointed to find that both crates had suffered water damage and many of the cartons inside them were completely soaked and literally falling apart.
The damage to items inside was considerable. Many items were wet and very mouldy, and everything had a strong smell of mould.
Most of these items are no longer useable. My wife has discarded 10 pairs of shoes and 14 items of clothing. We managed to clean the mould from many other items.
What recourse do we have for compensation?
We did not take out insurance, but in this case it appears to be negligence in the storage of our crates that has led to the damage and not an accidental incident.

Staff were rough with our belongings had damage and breakages will leave negative feedback online and will not be recommending moving with conroy!!
Significant damage to two desks, large mirror and our fridge was very disappointing. The guy that unloaded into our house was embarassed by the poor packing including not wrapping legs on a dining table amongst other examples.
