Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersThese people badly damaged my expensive Henry Millar Eames ottoman, this is a valuable and collectable piece of furniture (the original of which is in the New York Museum of Modern Art) that was treated by their movers like a piece of garbage, obviuously dragged instead of carried and destroying one of the metal legs in the process.
Disgusted by the handling of the insurance claim we lodged. Damage which was clearly at the fault of Conroys, Packington container so that damage was sustained to motorbike, an offer that was far below what it will take to repair the damage and removal of the excess from the proposed settlement when this is not damage due to an accident but negligence on conroys part.
Couch was damaged and broken in transit. I contacted the branch who said they would look into this for me. Still waiting for them to call me back over a month later.I did not take insurance - instead 'owners risk' - however to break the arm off a wooden couch and splinter the wood shows an absolute lack of care for the goods - so believe the removal team have not done their job properly.
Sadly an appalling experience - large move over 3 days - only one constant person; packing was shocking with clothes sort of folded into boxes, with other packed items; many items left behind ; delivery many boxes upside down; no response to phone calls after items noted missing; call was early evening Friday after truck left apparantly having packed and delivered everything - rang three different contacts whom I had dealt with previously; no response from anyone until 10.30am following Monday; many items left at old house until Wednesday 13th: items noted missing; apologies but little else; spoke with GM on Monday 11 - have called again Wednesday 20 April, still awaiting response - more items noted missing - sugggest broken as glassware - vases etc. A very expensive move that was shockingly bad. I would never recommend Conroys.
Upon pick up there were items on the pick up list that were missed. Upon delivery, my exercycyle was broken, my cold water washing machine pipe that was packed in the washing machine was missing and my fridge was scratched in various areas.
My exercycle arrived broken upon arrival in Auckland. A tube from my washing machine which was packed into the washing machine went missing. A ladder was missed upon pick up.
Terrible service. Delivery 9 days late, damaged items, lost a box of my things and 8 weeks later have heard nothing further from them. Poor communication, incredibly unhelpful. Do not waste your money on conroy. Use a different moving company.
I Have been dealing with Branch Manager Derek , our washing M was dropped however it was replaced at no cost to us ...when it was delivered the two young boys struggled to get it inside and the same person who moved us was there , he was pleasent but still seem to be a little lost. Also the fee was reduced
I have used Conroys over 5 times and this was the worse ever. other items of furniture were damaged including the side of the house that was chipped ( New Location ) with BBQ tableand marks left on the walls....Lounge chair was push through a door and stiching damaged my wife has tried to mend it but no luck this is only 16 mth old also bottom of the couch was scrapped along fence at ruby drive and has left a wear mark at the bottom that will turn into a rip in no time.
I didnt mention this to derek but after the effort and the need to again assist staff yesterday I had to mention this...just a shame
Won't accept damage to my tv and missing sound bar and no empathy towards our concern. Rude and dismissive.
Our initial contact was good but poor contact thereafter. Excellent packing by sister company but poor removal uplift - late arrival and slow packing resulted in a return the following day to finish up the work. We are still waiting for a comprehensive inventory list. Storage and delivery still to happen.
The planning side of Conroys was great. Quick response, quote & friendly staff
The execution however has been poor. No communication in advance with delivery day or rough time. Finally I got a call saying belongings would be dropped the next morning. Only 3/4 of belongings arrived & remainder left at warehouse. Drivers advised me the rest would be dropped the next morn (Sat). I waited for driver & then called to check on the time, I was then advised that conroys drivers don't work weekends..so effexcrively I had been lied to. I have now lbeen told it will arrive today (Monday) so fingers crossed we get our belongings. Overall a fairly poor customer experience & I would struggle to recommend this to someone based on my first time using conroys.
