Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersWas lied to about where my stuff was. Then it took over 3 months to get to New Zealand. Then the NZ side had one job which was to deliver all my stuf in one go and they couldn't even do that. Absolutely piss poor service. Very disappointed
when dealing with conroy is australia everything was fantastic and effience with constant open lines of communcation but once our stuff arrived in new zealand it said ready for delivery with no contact for a week and a half so i followed up to which they said yes they were still going to deliver it another week later no contact so i phoned again and that day they had to assign someone to find our stuff at the depot and get it delivered - when it was delivered they forgot a box containing our 55inch tv, dumped everything without even mentioning unpacking or rubbish disposal and it wasn't until after our tv was redelivered that i realised they were meant to unpack and dispose of rubbish by then i had done it all and it was to late so again they had to come back and pick it up everything seemed so sloppy and unorganised i defienetly would not reccomend to anyone especially spending as much money as we did we'd hope atleast to have all our stuff delivered in an effiencient and correct manner
Very poor handling of items, with several broken or loss. No communication in advance with delivery day or rough time. Just got a phone call an hour before delivery, even when I specifically told them before that I work out of town so I need at least one day notice as I won't be able to just leave work and drive back at any time they called. I guess they expect me to sit at home 24/7 and wait for them. And it's been nearly a month since the move, haven't heard back from anyone regarding the damaged items.
Some items had too much weight packed on top of them in container and those items simply broke apart. Easily fixed by using more consideration when packing.
The last 2 items which were left at the depot arrived yesterday. The cabinet which was the treasured piece now has a smashed window, a number of deep scratches and the back has fallen off. My flatmate was home at the time of delivery and said he heard it being bashed around on delivery which is not what we would expect.
I now need to start an insurance claim for repair. What is the process for this
Thanks Richie
The planning side of Conroys was great. Quick response, quote & friendly staff
The execution however has been poor. No communication in advance with delivery day or rough time. Finally I got a call saying belongings would be dropped the next morning. Only 3/4 of belongings arrived & remainder left at warehouse. Drivers advised me the rest would be dropped the next morn (Sat). I waited for driver & then called to check on the time, I was then advised that conroys drivers don't work weekends..so effexcrively I had been lied to. I have now lbeen told it will arrive today (Monday) so fingers crossed we get our belongings. Overall a fairly poor customer experience & I would struggle to recommend this to someone based on my first time using conroys.
These people badly damaged my expensive Henry Millar Eames ottoman, this is a valuable and collectable piece of furniture (the original of which is in the New York Museum of Modern Art) that was treated by their movers like a piece of garbage, obviuously dragged instead of carried and destroying one of the metal legs in the process.
Disgusted by the handling of the insurance claim we lodged. Damage which was clearly at the fault of Conroys, Packington container so that damage was sustained to motorbike, an offer that was far below what it will take to repair the damage and removal of the excess from the proposed settlement when this is not damage due to an accident but negligence on conroys part.
Couch was damaged and broken in transit. I contacted the branch who said they would look into this for me. Still waiting for them to call me back over a month later.I did not take insurance - instead 'owners risk' - however to break the arm off a wooden couch and splinter the wood shows an absolute lack of care for the goods - so believe the removal team have not done their job properly.
Conroy Removals picked up my belongings in Melbourne in January 2022 for delivery to Christchurch NZ. I was advised my belongings had arrived in NZ and paid two months storage fees on them in Christchurch. Moving day in May 2022, I rang Conroys to ascertain a delivery time and was told my belongings had never left Melbourne, despite me paying storage fees in Christchurch. I was advised to rent a bed, furniture and kitchen items until my belongings arrived. My winter clothes, bedding, towels etc were also all stuck in Melbourne. I've been told that my belongings will now arrive on 20 June. This is an appalling service. The director of the firm told me it was a mistake but I wonder why no-one noticed my belongings still in Melbourne and didn't query why they hadn't been shipped. My two bikes were separated from the original consignment, they did arrive and one bike seat had been slashed. This was an extremely poor attempt at providing a service which was paid for in full back in January 2022.
