Very disappointed in Conroy service. Will definitely never use them again. The lady that packed our stuff cut our mattress with a stanley knife, and over time it will deteriorated. We just very upset because its a brand new mattress, and the claim department want us to send and email from the upholstry people and they don't want to send a email they say they dont fix mattresses in Australia, and the claim department only will gives us $250 what a shocking experience how we meant to buy a mattress for that price what a joke. will never use this company again

Items were missing in the original delivery (having been packed and picked up by the removal company a number of years ago) and still a major artwork is missing in a large wooden crate! Items were damaged or broken in transit (or when moved in storage) and nearly all the fabric/furnishing items were moth eaten or covered in moths, so I will be talking up these matters with our legal representatives.
Comunications was good in beginning and during the process with Susan, but turned bad on delivery when I saw all my stuff jammed into the delivery containers with every cabinet standing on its side as it was pushed in with the trolley and left and not turned up right as was done and left in the same manner on delivery. The delivery process was extremely rushed with three guys off-loading and shouting numbers and giving me the list so there was no way the numers could be checked and proper placement of items could be shown as I was just crossing off numbers. I had to redo all the checking and restack everything in a neat manner, heavy boxes were stacked on fragile boxes, keep this side up were placed upside down or on their side, the list can go on. I was told that the shipment was not very well packed and stuff moved but would have thought that if that was the case then I should be notified so I can come and see and take it up with the company in SA. On enquiry they said that they have had no such report from Conroy. I hane already uncovered a great deal of damage on the stuff I have opened.
Everything went very well, but I would love to get a feedback on when the container will be full an send of to Europe. An estimated time of arrival would be very helpful.
i cannot say anything about the delivery yet since it hasn't even left NZ!
Household items left Omokoroa in a container and arrived in a normal removal truck to the Havelock North destination. The condition of our goods reflected the double handling ( NOT AT ALL SATISFIED WITH THE STATE OF MY GOODS ) Boxes were crushed and boxes marked this way up were upside down. Our very EXPENSIVE AND UNREPLACEABLE headboard has the finnish on the top left corner worn through to bear wood due to being removed from the container the goods were in and transfered to a normal removal truck .
NOT HAPPY
My complaint is I had a perfectly good working fridge when it left Whangamata but when it was connected in Silverdale it blew all the points so had to be replaced. The Insurance company refuse to refund me for the fridge I had to go out and buy at once. A qualified electrician stated though it was 15 years old it would still have had at least another 15 years in it.. But all I'm offered is $200 odd!!! For a $3000 fridge!! You need to change your insurance company....
Movers left a big stain in the common hallway from there dirty boots. Didn't seem to want to assist at all with unpacking.
From start to finish was nothing but a nightmare, started with the two guys who Conroy's sent to pack our stuff, nothing short of amateurs, didn't know what they were doing as shown by how much stuff turned up damaged upon arrival at our new place in Australia . Worst of all we signed paperwork at our place as to how many boxes had been loaded onto the truck, not knowing how many boxes were loaded as we didn't load the truck but as good faith as to what they had said. We were told it should take up to 6 weeks to turn up in Australia from NZ , this turned into over 9 weeks, which in turn meant we were in our new place for 4 weeks with nothing but what we had packed in our suitcases. When our stuff finally turned up from Conroy's in Australia, which we will add did a very good job of getting our stuff to us as soon as they could, which we really appreciated, we found several items that were damaged and worse, items that had not turned up at all. My wife and I had the job of ticking off the boxes as they came of the truck and this all matched up with the paperwork, however apon unpacking our stuff we noticed several items were missing, so we contacted Conroy's in NZ to ask if there were any boxes left over unmarked from the shift, this is where the communication was very unsatisfactory, we got passed around to different people who couldn't tell us anything, but what was most annoying was we kept having to chase them up to try and get answers, finally we got and answer saying we ticked off our stuff and it matched the paperwork ( which we didn't deny ) so basically saying that they packed everything at the house and we got everything. Some of the missing stuff was put into the garage to make it easier for the movers to pack up, when the truck left ,the garage was empty, so I could park my car back in there, we also stayed at our place for a further 3 weeks after everything was packed (We ran a motel so had to carry on to the new owners took over ) so would've noticed anything left behind and contacted Conroy's.Well I'm sorry Conroy's everything had been packed, the house and shed were empty, also some stuff that went missing had sentimental value and couldn't be replaced. So the only conclusion we can make is that someone at Conroy's helped themselves to our stuff, and that Conroy's NZ couldn't care less. We are the first of family and friends from NZ that have moved to Australia and will be advising our friends and family not to use Conroy's when they move over. Very poor service from a international company in NZ.
