"I was very disappointed with the service"
I was very disappointed with the service that I received from Conroys Tauranga. As I was notified that my owner shipper container was going to be inspected by NZ Quarantine I fully understood that my container was to be emptied to be inspected however I did not realise that I would have to see many of my possessions damaged or put back into the container in such a way that I was unable to remove it at all. I tried to make contact with the office and was told ways to try and get my furniture out but to no avail and no offer of sending anyone to take it out for me. I took this matter further to another Conroy office who sent some workers out to remove my furniture from the container after 2 weeks of being stuck in there and having to use equipment to raise the roof in the container to get it out. My hope is that the experience that I have had with the Conroys Tauranga will never happen to anyone else as moving overseas from another country is stressful enough without having troubles with my possessions being damaged and have no one taking any responsibility.

"we had zero damage"
Mike and his guys did an excellent job both ends of the move. They were all friendly and efficient, and made the move stress free for us. I had some difficult heavy items in my garage (I'm an engineer) and everything was moved and placed in the new garage as discussed. All the house stuff arrived safely, (matresses and couches bagged, fridges etc wrapped in blankets) and we had zero damage. Moving furniture is hard work on a good day and these guys were great. I hope you are rewarding them accordingly. Thanks again.
"No care was taken at all"
I was extremely happy with the professionalism of your Tauranga staff during our move but extremely disappointed in the Wellington staff and their handling of our move. I would use Conroy's again if moving locally though. Our inventory was a complete shambles, numbers did not correspond with items for about 1/3 of our goods. Our NEW fridge is severely damaged due to negligence in how it was stored in the container. It was placed up against the side without even a blanket to protect it. The paint has rubbed off the fridge onto the side of your container. The other side of the fridge has dents in it and the front has a scratch in the stainless steel. Boxes clearly labeled fragile and top shelf only were placed on the bottom with heavy boxes on top. Several of our other items of furniture have damage too! No care was taken at all. I haven't unpacked all our boxes yet to see if anything has been broken, so far so good. Again, I highly recommend your Tauranga staff and would use them again.

While we thought the staff doing the removal was very friendly, we are at a loss to understand how so much damage was done to the furniture, and wonder if any of the 'blankets' were used. Very disappointed with the number of dings and bumps done. We elected to carry our own insurance, so suppose we should not complain, but had had high recommendations to use Conroys and would not do so again

Everything about dealing with Conroys made our move a pleasure rather than stressful, right from the first visit to set up a very competitive quote through to unloading at our destination.

This is the second time we have used Conroys to move and the service was great this time.
