The initial quote, and contracting was well handled. However, your Auckland office did not perform well when it came to arranging the packing and removal of goods. We had to ask several times for dates and times for this to happen. But this was only the start of the poor performance of the Operations Team at your Auckland office. Your packing team had not arrived by the end of the designated time range in the morning. We had to ring several times, and each time we were told that your Auckland office would find out and get back to us by such and such a time. On most occasional such and such a time went past and we would have to ring yet again. We were told that the driver was delayed and would be there shortly.

By 3 p.m. we were getting extremely concerned since the initial time range was for no latter than 11 a.m. and we still had no firm eta for the team to arrive. I was assured your Auckland team manager was aware, and that the driver was on his way. I rang your Hawke's Bay office and spoke to Sharna, as she had been so helpful. She offered to sort it out. Eventually we heard the driver was on his way.... only he wasn't! He finally arrived at 4:45 p.m.; yes we had been waiting all day for your team, and had not been kept I formed except if we rang Conroys. Finally, we thought, our packing would begin... But no.

Your driver was sullen, and largely uncommunitive. I methim downstairs on the street and  mentioned our long wait . To which I got a grunted reply, I  also noted he appeared alone. I asked where the rest of the packers were. He said what packers, I am here to pick up boxes that you packed. I told him that our contract was for professional packing and removal. He then started to argue with me and got out his mobile phone and started waving it in front of my face. I have no idea what was on this mobile since he never held it still enough, but my guess was this was meant to prove he was right. I then asked him to accompany me to the apartment, while we sorted this out. At the apartment he again said we were wrong and started waving the phone around was was clearly agitated and in no way was he listening or even considering us. While I rang your Auckland office for the umpteen time that day, your driver started waving the mobile in front of my wife's face (She also could not read, or understand why he was doing this) and tried to interrupt me while I was talking to your office. He then walked out of the apartment and I could hear him on the phone. Shortly after finishing the call he came back and also your Auckland office ops person who I had been talking to all day said they were sending some of their packers as they were nearly finished a job, but the driver would start until they  arrived. Your driver said the same. So finally out packing would start six hours late, or so you might think. But no...

Your driver said he would go to his truck to bring up packing material. I offered to help, but he said no. So we waited for his return. 15 minutes later, no sign of your driver. I went back to where the truck had been parked...no sign of your driver or truck. So once again I was forced to ring your Auckland office, and they did not know either.

Once they found out, they did ring back.... apparently, without telling anyone, your driver decided to go back to your Auckland Airport depot.... it was now after 5 p.m. I was told he would be back, and I questioned when... I even suggested your packers come I  the following morning, since with rush hour traffic, I doubted he would be back in less than 3 hours. Also, with his poor customer service and communication skills, and lack of empathy for your all day wait, we really didn't want him back (my wife and I were both concerned with his passive aggressive behaviour towards us). Finally at 5:30 p.m. two more employees arrived, and they quickly packed the boxes. We were happy with them, since they had worked all day, so by 7 p.m. , and 8 hours late, our goods were finally heading for your t4uck a d depot.

Please note, as an Ex Napier (Taradale) resident I have had a 40 year association with Conroy Removals,  and used and recommended your company. Not again or I would think twice about it. So I would love to be contacted by your senior management team ( even owners...) to further discuss the issues your poor operations management may in future impact on your companies reputation.

The packers sent to pack were excellant and professional. everything went smoothly and was unobtrusive to our daily routine.

Amazing service and everything arrived Intact. Lovely, friendly and cool deliverers and a special thanks to the guys that picked my stuff up from storage and had to re-box my crap packaging
