Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersCustomer service agents were generally prompt with replies but didn't answer direct questions, and had to be asked 2-3 times to get answers. Particularly disappointed in the agent who advised me that my car transport would be $300 higher than it should have been, because she couldn't be bothered to check the price difference of me dropping off my car at the depot instead of being picked up (even though I told her it would be cheaper - she insisted it wouldn't be). I checked with transport company myself and got the correct quote, and let the Conroys agent know. There was no apology or acknowledgement of error.
Packers on the first day were great, but didn't turn up day 2. Truck came day 2 & 1/4 house was not packed- I did 1 room myself. Drivers / loaders were great, & called in help, but no explanation offered. Packing would have been quicker if things like extension cords weren't wrapped in 5 pieces of packing paper. A parcel tray from the back of my husbands car was bent in half to fit in a box. A drawer in the kitchen and bathroom cabinet missed.
Requested delivery on certain day, arranged flights & animal care to suit this. 2 days before, were told we couldn't have that so had to arrange leave from work. Then this was changed again to original day so had to cancel leave and rearrange plans again. Then truck didn't turn up til lunch time even though we were told 9am.
Overall very disappointed and won't use Conroys again.
I chose Conroy for my recent move because my sister and a friend had both had hassle free moves in the last 18 months using the company. My experience was just the same. I lived down a steep communal drive with an awkward bend in it that meant a big truck couldn't be brought down to the house. Conroy had a very workable solution that worked for them and for me and my neighbours over the Christmas New Year period. At the delivery end, the driveway here could have been a problem but again the people on the ground had it all sorted and were very professional and helpful. I am still unpacking boxes but so far have noticed no breakages which is fantastic.
Couldn't fault the driver or his packers / unpackers, excellent. Carefull with all house furniture / shed gear. Were a few hours later than expected at our load site but out of their hands as their early morning drop off was at a site with nil access and had to carry all down long drive way. Didn't know this though till they arrived. I had been calling Conroys after 1.5 hours of delay to find out where they were and just kept getting redirected to other Conroy centers around NZ who couldn't help. When they would pass me to Auckland number just got message machine! Very frustrating. If no one in Akl office at least other centers should know which truck/driver is tasked with the move and can ring him to find out why delay at next job so can inform client. Very frustrating sitting in a boxed up house for 3+ hours not knowing where the movers are and when you get a hold of someone they turn out to be at other part of country with no info for you! Apart from the comms issue Conroys are excellent.

Fantastic move, cheerful, fast, efficient. Moved some tricky bits of furniture with ease.
Disgusted with the team who came to do the inital packing. They had no idea what to do, we had to request several times to label the contents of each box. And that they got wrong. As an example one box was labeled 'umbrellas' in the box was 4x beach chairs, camp stools, an electric gutair. Oh and one umbrella. Also, we had many boxes labelled 'crockery' There would have been maybe 1-2 boxes of crockery, rest were pots, pans, crockpots, toast and grills. No box mentioned any such equpment. Even my mentalled disabled sister can tell the difference between a pot and a plate. The staff were swearing under their breath. They pushed past by wife many times with out an apology. We found cleaning products tipped upside down in a box, some of the liquard had seeped onto a good wool rug.
We were very pleased with all aspects of our move, from the initial consultation, uplifting of belongings from Masterton and delivery to Taupo. Also online form completion is very user friendly. Would recommend Conroy Removals to family and friends.

Marcel here. For the overall experience, the cost was other-worldly. My mother insisted however, so we went with your company. Jeff did a good job, and the team tried their best, but weren't armed with a plan for how to get things out of the top story. I price things for a living, and $6.5k is just out of order. Various members of your team tried to help with what i can imagine was a difficult job from your perspective, but $3.5k should have seen you make a profit.

I was not impressed with the service provided , communication was poor regarding drop off ,also I paid extra for the unit to be packaged to avoid damage
when the item was delivered days later than advised it was not wrapped at all . The cost was greater than other quotes but I used this company because they offered packing on Pick-up
First class service both packing/moving our possessions into store and then unloading/placing them into our new home. Thanks to all ALL staff, Kirsty in particular.
