The only comment I have is that a little more care could have been taken when moving furniture in not to damage the paint work. The exception to this comment is where there was difficult access to the bedrooms downstairs.
The guys were amazing and super helpful - could not fault it! I would highly recommend this service to anyone and I will 100% be using you again.
Every single step of this journey was easy and efficient: from planning to packing, the paperwork for shipment, and coordinating delivery. Conroy's made this journey back home stress free, thank you.
Your estimate said 5-7 weeks which is a joke! it’s going to be pushing 3 months and our stuff has barely been delivered. I’m happy with the quotes and the communication up until our boxes got picked up but then it all fell apart! Won’t be using Conroy again
Thank you for fitting our delivery into a very busy schedule
I think delivery times should be updated to reflect the busyness at certain times of the year to avoid frustration when etas are not meet
Was advised the move would take two hours; it took the best part of five. The guys who did the job were excellent, very thorough, and careful. Unfortunately, they ran out of labels so some of my possessions didn't feature on their inventory.
After removals took place, I had to follow up with Conroys to establish if my items had arrived safely in storage, what arrangements existed for accessing my items if necessary, and what I needed to do when I wanted my possessions to be delivered to their final destination.
Overall, disappointing service
The move went really well, and the timing was UNBELIEVABLRE!! The shipment left 31 January 2020 and was delivered to Dunedin 5 February 2020!!! As of today (07/02/20) everything is unpaced and no issues reported.
The two men doing the job were pleasant, however, I felt they were rushing far too much when the first came to get things out and cut corners lifting things on their own. The first incident was that the younger slimmer guy took a tall bookcase down the stairs on his own on his shoulder and causes a gouge mark in the wall. I saw it at the end of the shift, but managed to fix it hurriedly with filler, sandpaper one coat of undercoat and top coat (which I was leaving under the house).
The second incident was I noticed 2 new relatively deep scratches and drag marks on the wooden floor by the front door. I believe this occurred when they were taking out my antique chaise longue about 3 metre out the front door which was very difficult as there was only a path beside it and it was a sharp angle to get it around. They said the feet did this. If they had thought more about it this should have been carried to kitchen and out the french door, and then down the path. I advised them these marks were new, and one person came back and put a product on the deep scratch so it didn't look so bad. I have now left 31 Roy St, but a would appreciate this small area sanded and polyurethane put on it to repair it. An expert will be able to do this very swiftly and efficiently, but may have to come back for the 2nd / 3rd coat.
The new house in Greytown has all wooden floors, and the two guys were much more careful unloading stuff (and taking their time more).
The Conroy lady who came to my property to assess the job gave me the impression that the antiques would be bubble wrapped, but all antique tables and the chaise longue etc were wrapped with rugs strapped on with celotape. So if a paid for bubble wrap I should get a refund?
I chose Conroys (despite being a much higher quote) as the estimate of the contents was thorough, and I felt the antique items would be protected (i took TV screens and paintings and small glass table tops and very fragile breakables in my car).
