It was our first time using a moving company (and a big move for us), so I really appreciate how easy it was. Especially during lockdown and a pandemic. It would be useful to be advised of pick up and delivery times a bit earlier. I was advised of pick up 24 hours in advance. I was advised of delivery 1 hour in advance. I had booked motels at both ends so I could be ready for Conroys. Had I known times earlier i would have not needed to book motels. Conroy staff very friendly, polite and helpful.
Only dealt with the Tauranga team personally when they dropped off. Great attitude and my stuff was in my new place in no time at all.
The guys who packed our household items and loaded the container in Christchurch were very professional. efficient and friendly. Our container is currently in storage so hopefully there won't be any problems when it is delivered and unpacked.
We were impressed with unpacking crew ably led by MIKE, all of the team were friendly and only too pleased to assist, make the unpacking less stressful than it is.
The movers were very helpful and did their job effiiciently. We really appreciated their service.

Just one breakage with 2 glass shelves in china cabinet that got broken.
The actual moving teams at both Auckland and Tauranga were great. What was terrible was the communications. I was given incorrect information about the pickup time in Auckland (told 10am, arrived 8:30am). I had to ring multiple times to even get that. I didn't get a drop off time for the Saturday until 4pm Friday - remember this is an intercity move, I need to drive for hours. In this case it meant a 6am wakeup on a Saturday.
What would be good
1. choosing pickup and delivery time slots
if you can't do that
2. minimum 24 hours notice of pickup and delivery slots
Better communication around delivery time would be good
