The Guys were FANTASTIC...Great to see Api again, he moved me into Shakespeare Rd! The packing was efficient...done in 5 hours, including a lunch break. So much for Kyle saying 11 hours packing (which I supposed I payed for??)... I would like to add, that my Phone Experience with Kyle was un pleasant. I found him Condesending, he Over Talked Me several times & I found him to be quite rude... Not very good at Customer Service!I The load up went well & the Delivery. Can't remember the Guys name who was there all 3 days? Cody, or Cobie or something... He was the lovliest bloke & worked really hard. This was the 3rd time I have used Conroys & have found them to be excellent.
I was disappointed that there were small bits of damage to the Tall Boy from the Bedroom, the China Cabinet, the TV cabinet and my near new Fridge Freezer. I felt Tim was very inexperienced as He put the tallboy on the Trolly with the draws facing the handle, I asked Him to turn it around as by putting it hard againgt the handle can damage the soft timber. He made a comment about it being ok, I said I didn't want it like that and to turn it aroundplease, which He did but as it happens there is a small dint and a scratch to the bottom of it now. I don't feel He took the job of handling someone's furniture seriously. I would recommend your service to friends but feel new Employees should have training on how to handle someones effects and not be blas'e about it like Tim was.
Great service and nice people that I dealt with, but have only given 3 stars because of a couple of things. I have never used a moving company before and thought it was a "full service offering", so didn't wrap any furniture or provide any rags/fabric protection before the guys came to pick it up.
The guys who picked it up were good and generally seemed to take care with my furniture, but took everything directly into the truck without any wrapping or protection, including my mattress and base, which was dragged along the truck floor so when it arrived at destination I had to clean it. I watched this happen but when the guys are moving all your stuff you don't want to piss them off in case they stop taking as much care. Interestingly when the mattress and base arrived at destination they had been bagged in very competent plastic wrapping, and so all the much and dirt from the truck floor was just inside the wrapping at that stage... bit pointless but at least it probably stopped further dirtying.
One of the items moved was a timber chest, which is a relatively simple item to move because it has handles and it just needs carrying. Somehow during transit though it must have been opened, items moved around so they no longer sat flat beneath the top, and then the lid forced closed again, because when it arrived one side of the lid was protruding up proud, and one of the hinges screws had been forced out so I will need to repair. There is no need for the lid to have been opened and anyone would have seen that they were damaging the lid hinges when trying to close it so it's a real shame then didn't take a few seconds to rearrange the items inside so they sat flat again. I did it and it took about 5 seconds.
I found everything and everyone make the moving stress free and easy. The guys where there at the time they said they would be.
Very helpful when the an extremely heavy item could not be loaded into the van - another van with with lifting gear was sent straightaway.
We found your 3 staff to be very helpful, hard working and understanding, which is all we could ask for. Thank you to them for making the day a lot easier.
Initially looked good, packing was not as expected one of our panels was cracked on shipping to wellington, some miss-communication on our side caused our wellington staff not to meet movers at arranged time. wellington conroys staff basically dumped shipment on footparth outside office and left. Damage to 2 of our cabinets and 1 panel i still need to claim from insurance i purchased hopefully will go well. trying to arrange a small shipment return to auckland contacted conroy's have not heard back . initial calls and emails re return shipment were 8 days ago.
Both fridges were badly dented, a table leg broken and boxes damaged. Very disappointing. The cost of damage amounted to more than Conroy's billing. Not happy sorry.
