We were contacted the day before and the day of to let us know time of arrival. The only mistake at this end that we knew of is we weren't given the paperwork with the summary of everything that was picked up. The delivery end was a completely different story. There was no contact made to arrange time of delivery. I had to call numerous times to get hold of dispatch. A delivery time was scheduled and when they did not turn up at this time over an hour later we managed contact and we believe there was a miscommunication about time. However the driver had driven to wrong destination and we had to wait more than another hour. All of this could have been forgiven until at least 5 of our items were damaged. This is about 15-20% of our items they had. Dents in fridges, scratches on furniture, holes in furniture. The most disappointing being scratches all over our dining table, and an area you can tell the tie down has rubbed and all the varnish removed in that spot. Even if we had purchased insurance for damage, I'm not sure how they would rectify damages that don't necessarily need replacement but cannot be fixed. You still don't expect that much damage even if things are insured. Very disappointing and would not use again.
Some indication of where our effects are at present instead of just waiting on a phone call. Regular updates would be helpful. Email or text would be fine
Our furniture suffered excessive damage. We were told that all furniture would be balnket wrapped and this did not happen. There was little care taken in the packing of the furniture. The unloading team were in a hurry and caused more damage. They also damaged the house. We used Conroys once before and it was okay. This time it was terrible and we will certainly be looking to the company for a positive response to sort this out.
The boys were helpful & moved everything with no issue. They have a great sense of humor and vibe and made the process fun. My trees got a free trim in the process but thats ok!
The service provided from Brisbane to Tauranga was an absolute breeze. From the first ph call to the last email. Appreciate all the communication correspondence informing us and tracking where our gear was etc It was truly a relief to have such professionals working alongside us. The last leg was unloading and storing, unpacking what we could, removing of rubbish to having a checklist for me to tick off the boxes as they came in. Would recommend CONROYS to anyone looking for a great removal service.
I found the service in Australia amazing, but not up to scratch here in nz. Communication was slow and I had to chase for info. I understand it's crazy busy times. But a quick email or phone call takes a small amount of time, If from the start it had been communicated that they were busy or overwhelmed with work (which it wasn't communicated) I would of been more understanding.
The delivery drivers were great tho! Fast efficient and friendly with good senses of humour.
a few people who have used conroys in the past this year have felt the same. There are favebook pages (which I'm sure you're more than aware of) that are sharing similar stories.
The two movers were exceptional. Very accommodating and checked in to ensure they had everything. Would recommend them and the company. Thank you.
Very impressed with the shift. Your staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble.

The premove visit and packing from Napier was fine. the problem was once I arrived at CoopersBeach in the Far North, the arrival of my furniture was delayed on the day due to Neville's truck breaking down in Whangarei, when he arrived late in the day, could not get up the drive, everything had to be carried up, could not offload everything, had to come back the next day so my daughter had to sleep on a mattress and we had no fridge. My sofa was covered in grease, one lamp shade was torn beyond repair and the leg on one end table was broken. I paid a great deal of money for insurance and am most disappointed. I phone to talk to someone at Conroy's Napier but did not get aresponse back.
Hi, I'm giving feedback on behalf of Dan and Barbara Ramsden, who recently had their furniture relocated to Havelock North. They were told the Conroy truck would arrive at 11am at their home. The truck arrived 2.10pm in the afternoon. There was no phone call to say they were going to be late, Dan had to ring the office to see where they were - unsatisfactory. Upon arrival the men had no paper work to know what they were collecting plus there was no cartons to put their belongings in as they were charged for this unsatisfactory. The men were polite and a pleasure to work with. It seems there was no communication from the office to the men with the truck to know what was going on. For my parents this not a very nice experience as leaving their home was anxious and emotional experience and to have the the truck to arrive late with no communication and no cartons for their belongings which was charged and paid in advance for was unsatisfactory experience for them.
We are very happy with using Conroy for our move into NZ from SA. Our furniture arrived all complete and only 1 item broken, but completely expected with being in storage and moving across the world. Susan and her team were very helpful and always treated us like family and not a client.
The only small issue i had was that the driver's that should have arrived to delivery our container was off sick, and the mananger of the Nelson branch had to rush to get someone to help deliver our container. They were over 3 hours late, which is understandable. But in future back up drivers should be availble for these occassions. Gary in Nelson was very friendly and helpful.
