Good service 

Despite a video inventory being conducted prior to pick up, several items of furniture were not accounted for, forcing the rapid and unplanned disposal of items in order to fit the bulk of items in the truck.  While a video inventory should be a helpful part of the process, this needs to be done properly with a correct size truck then allocated.  Items which could not fit on the truck included a 7-piece dining suite and a 3-piece lounge suite, indicating that the video inventory was poorly conducted and truck allocation inadequate.

At both Auckland pick-up and Christchurch delivery, the two-person crew was made up of an experienced person and a non-experienced person.  This was evident by some rough handling by those less experienced, especially during the Auckland pick-up.

There was some damage to items from the moving process.  While this might be expected, it was still disappointing.  With items in storage at Conroy's for 2 1/2 years, this meant that items were handled four times, i.e, pick-up, placing into storage, removal from storage and delivery, with potential for damage at every stage.

The guys that moved my were great,excellent commication.

We are really happy with our overall experience with Conroys and if we ever had to move countries again we would go through Conroys without a doubt. We had many questions a long the way, and it was a process that we looked into awhile before we actually moved overseas (about a year prior) and eventually booked with Conroys. The communication was excellent and we never felt like we were being a burden when we had to change parts of our removal service. We packed the items ourselves but they were secured additionally by Conroys to make sure that they were safe on their journey which we really appreciated I.e our mirror and our plastic containers had additional wraps and layers added to them and our mattresses were wrapped. The delivery was a swift process, the staff were friendly and helped to remove some of the packaging from the mattresses and washing machine which is hugely helpful beyond words. None of the boxes had external damage at all, everything inside was in perfect condition from Auckland to Queensland. Our only feedback would be it would be helpful to alert customers to the customs declaration very soon during the quoting process rather than once the booking is confirmed. With emphasis on making sure it is filled out during the packing process. We weren't aware we would need to number the boxes and itemise what was in them, particularly items of interest for customs with their exact location/box number. We did General descriptions to help with unpacking but it wasn't quite enough. Because we packed and stored and then moved out of the country, to later confirm and book conroy removal a few weeks later, it made that part a bit stressful as we couldn't definitively say exactly what boxes things ended up in. It ended up fine and cleared customs but I think not knowing where things were exactly caused some extra work for everyone which we appologise for. Overall absolutely fantastic and would recommend Conroys to everyone.
