Friendly, helpful team. Nothing was a problem
My goods were over a week late from the delivery date agreed, my steam mop is missing, and some of my furniture is damaged.
I would recommend and use Conroys again with reservations. The service by the removal guys was excellent at both ends, very quick, safe, accomodating and friendly. However, was disappointed by the large increase in fees after adding items. I was initially quoted for 10 cubic metres and the addition of a washing machine, 3 boxes, a table and two bags increased by a third. But then still only got a quarter of a 40 cubic metre truck for removal space. In other words I paid close to $600 more for the same truck space and felt like i was penalised for my honesty (had i not informed conroys of the additions, I would have got the same space and saved myself a lot of money)
I was called the day before the move telling me that the movers will be at my address at 8am. I get a call at 807am I get a call saying that they will be here in 30 mins. 930am movers arrive.
Once the movers arrived, I could quickly tell that one person is experienced and knows what he is doing. Two others had very little clue about what/how to move things. One guy spent half the time standing and watching other people do things. I'm sure I moved and helped more than this guy did.
After having a few chit chats I learnt that the two were temps from a temping agency.
When I pay an hourly rate of $230, I expect three professionals that are reasonably experienced.
I expected the move to take 2-3 hours. I took almost five.
You offered no apology for being late and wasting my time and offered no discount for having two very incompetant movers and took every cent.
The only thing positive was that all three movers were polite.
I don't think there is anywhere you could improve. The men who came to pick up my things were very pleasant and nothing seemed to be any problem to them. It was an extremely efficient service from all your staff who I dealt with.
Overall serivce was excellent. The driver and packing team we had were very good and treated our belongings with good care. The team made the process of moving easy and efficient.
Communication with head office was a little delayed.
Had to physically visit the Napier depot twice to get anywhere in arranging a collection date even though the date was specified in the booking form & that was the basis of us choosing to go ahead & use you. Nobody answered your reception phones in 3 days of calling & even when we had a DDI for a staff member & left her 2 voicemail messages pleading for a call back, she didn't bother.
The people picking up & delivering are great, but the admin/management/communications people in your offices are beyond hopeless.
