Took three days from scheduled pick up date to actually get this item picked up. However it was then delivered to Kaikoura faster than anticipated
Genial and positive in tiresome circumstances.
I had an amazing service with Convoy movers from the time I got in contact with them till the last time I spoke to them. I do need some extra support to understand things and they were always there to help me out with things. The moving guys were always friendly and worked extremely hard and the guys that delivered my stuff to me at the other end were just as nice. I would highly recommend Conroy Movers to anyone that needs a good reliable service.

The packing of the truck and move itself was excellent and our items arrived all in one piece. We really admired how the packers worked getting everything in the truck like a tetris. However there could have been better communication when our load did not fit on the one truck and some things went elsewhere temporarily. The quoting seemed inadequate as to volume of items. There was insufficient resource to pack our house into boxes and we ended up doing quite a bit of it ourselves in order to meet our deadline for moving. This seems to be a by product of the challenging times we are in with covid and staffing. We imagine this is typical in the removal industry.
Fantastic from start to finish. Everyone was lovely to deal with and the communication throughout the process was faultless. Due to circumstances we had a last minute change of address but Conroys still managed to juggle things so our goods arrived the same day. Fantastic people and I would definitely recommend them.

Good service - but waiting for a response regarding a breakage
We would have preferred to be notified a day before delivery as the truck did not stop in Hamilton on the 8th day ( working days)..n ended up going back to Napier n reschedule date of delivery which was 11th day of delivery..a lot of work for Conroy as well having to re transfer goods onto a 3rd? truck in total..too much man handling" of our stuff.
When I was quoted for the job, I was told that it allowed for labour for four persons at each end due to my 212kg spa pool move. There were only two at pickup. They said that others were coming but the never turned up. The two of them moved the 212kg spa with strips around their necks and back. It was veyr stressfull watching them take it up the ramp on its side, with all the weight down on the lower person. Highly dangerous for them and the spa.
Delivery - the delivery was planned for MOnday 11 October. I p[honed to check that this was the case as I had pelple arranged to help me on the day wiht unpacking etc. I got hold of MArk who knew nothign about the 11 Oct date. He was very helpful, and managed to arrange it for the Tuesday. I discussed the delivery with Mark in CHCH, and he said there would definitely need to be four peple for Health and saftey reasons for the delivery and manouevring of the spa. Two people were there for delivery - one was a complete newbie. A young skinny lad. The spa move from the truck to my garden was stressful to watch, and then, as they turned it on the trolley in my garden it almost fell off. (it was up on its side at this stage) My neighbour and myself has to assist to get it safely off the trolley without damage. The main guy at this end was very good and experienced, and helpful, but this was not a safe operation. He advised that another person was supposed to have been there but they never turned up. I would like to discuss this further with you as the resourcing of this pick upand delivery was not safe, or satisfactory, even though I had paid for additional resoruce to assist.
