Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersStarted off great. I had excellent service from MaryAnne during what was a very frustrating time with the Covid lockdown. I had very confusing emails from a lady who didn't really answer my questions but was quick to send repeated invoices with half arsed explanations on what forms needed to be filled in. As a company it would be prudent if you would simplify the forms for people who have paid in advance. The lady could use some training on handling customer queries.I did make a point of asking when I had to reschedule our move due to the level restrictions if it was possible to move it again without issues, and was reassured over the phone, that it was best to make a date ASAP so it would be easier to change later on. When I emailed to do that after the second delay with lockdown I got a frustrated call from someone, who literally growled on the phone at me, after I explained how having to push our move date even further would cost my husband his job, and that his call was causing me to be late for a Zoom meeting. His attitude was belittling and rude. Would not recommend your service to anyone. I got far better assistance from other movers in the area, who were readily available to help us, even with the level 3 delays, and didn't make any guttural grunts at us on the phone.
Poor management of staff at Level 3 restrictions most of staff were not vaccinated, failed to use manatory mask requirements during removal process. Despite careful bubble wrapping of glass cabinets all 3 suffered breakage plus other items broken (un-experienced staff handling unpacking & moving)
Vanessa was excellent in response to our questions and communicating how our move would go logistically. well done!
Gordon was great to work with loading & unloading the truck. Very professional service.

The service was awesome. The 2 Movers that I had, Ant and Mike (I'm hoping that is the correct names) we're fantastic. Friendly, happy and were fast and efficient. It's lovely to see people so happy. A real pleasure to deal with. Thanks again for the amazing service.

The workers were amazing. Followed instuctions perfectly, on time, careful, positive and obliging. the best. The communications from base with visiting the site with Nathan, then Taylor and Ryan doing the job. Unable to fault in any way.

Communication was brilliant, appreciated the calls each day to let me know what time things were happening. The guys were quick and efficient at each stage, and really looked after our stuff, plus boxes all being clearly labelled helped with unpacking.
Delivered on time with no hassle but was never quite sure what was going on until only a day before pick up and a day before drop off
Getting a quote and arranging someone to come to the property to assess the amount of things to be moved was excellent, what let everything down was the lack of communication once I had signed the agreement and the late arrival of the truck on the day.
About a week out from moving, I had to call several times to check the timing of when the truck would arrive at the property in Wellington. I was trying to arrange meeting an agent at the new property in Palmerston North so was trying to work out what time I might arrive into Palmerston North. Eventually I got a call from the truck driver. He said that they would be at the property in Wellington around 9am.
The driver then called the morning of the move to say they were 45 mins away. About 1hr 20mins later they arrived at about 10.30am Once they had loaded everything (must say they were very careful which I appreciated as it was a difficult getting down the steep stairwell) they then advised that they had to pick up another load back at the depot to drop off in Levin on their way through to Palmerston North. It was never communicated that my load would be combined with another load - made sense when I saw the size of the truck, but it was never communicated until the day of the move it was going to be a shared load. The truck and myself left the Wellington property right on mid-day. The truck arrived at the property in Palmerston North at 4pm. They called 10 mins before they were due to arrive at the Palmerston North property.
I appreciate that it is not always easy to calculate the timing and it does depend on the truck, the loads etc and traffic. I would have appreciated to have had more communication prior to the move date and then on the day - don't over promise if you can't deliver. If you are going to be late, just say. Overall it was a good price and the removal team were very careful, but communication could have been a lot better. Thanks
