Excellent packing by sister company but poor removal uplift - late arrival and slow packing resulted in a return the following day to finish up the work. We are still waiting for a comprehensive inventory list. Storage and delivery still to happen.
Good afternoon. Firstly I wish to point out that all the guys involved with our move were absolutely really nice guys, Very friendly, polite. I could have not wished for more.
However what let your side down was the drivers "want" to have the truck unloaded as quick as possible. This came about because he quite specifically mentioned he did not want to go over his 70 hours. He was also very assertive and mentioned on more than one occasion about wanting us to take possession asap as the truck would be at our new premises mid morning. As you are aware we of course have no control over this. Also both myself and my wife specifically labelled a number of boxes FRAGILE and to have them off loaded sideways, upside down with heavy boxes on top was a bit of a dissapointment. And yes there were a few breakages.
I'm not sure if there exists a company culture of getting the job done asap but the need to rush was a bit obvious to us. Perhaps this could be looked into when time pressures are mounting up come Friday afternoon ?

It would be great to receive continued communication for those who don't use this service otten. Eg: I didn't realise that the customs clearance (or was it quarantine?) is done ahead of the arrival of freight into the country. A simple phone call clarified this with the explanation that the next step couldn't proceed without clearance prior to arrival. Receiving updates is good, but sometimes it is good to say separately what the next step will be (in basic terms).
Overall I was very pleased with the whole service.
Despite communication problems within Conroy's to start with the fact that the owner called to rectify it even though no complaint was made was unprecedented in my experience. The guys that loaded the container and the guy that coordinated (the guys to unload) and unloaded in New Plymouth were fantastic. Not a single item was broken!
A bowl and a coffee plunger broken but not worried about them. Scratch on aluminium door sill from moving in. Pointed out to mover.
The whole process was really easy. The ladies that came and packed our stuff were lovely! We were updated all the time about our shipment and everything arrived safely.
Excellent crew, seamless process from start to finish, everybody very friendly and efficient. Top rated.
Overall we had a great experience with our house move. However our furniture was stored for ten weeks and when unpacked we were disappointed to find mould and damp on a mattress and items of furniture. Also had to ask to have the beds made up and positioned.
Apart from the above we were impressed with the service from all areas of the company which was very efficient
Thank you to Christine, Brooke, Paul, Shane and the other two members of the team (sorry...can't remember the names) from the Napier/Tauranga offices, who assisted with our move from Kawerau to Gisborne between 7 - 9 March. Fantastic service right the way through! :-). Appreciate it! Thanks again to you all!
