Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersCommunication was terrible. I said I could be flexible with the date and wanted a morning pickup. As per the booking i was moving 4 hours away so an afternoon booking would not work. I chased this multiple times only to gef a call fhe afternoom before saying they would be there late afternoon. I rung back several times (inlcuding office) and left a message saying I needed a morning booking. No-one rung back. Eventually I sent a text and was still told it would be late afternoon. I said that doesn't work for me. Was finally told they would try to sort in the morning of my booking. The next morning I again left voicemails and eventually got a grumpy call to say they'd be there at 9.30. This was extra stress I didn't need on moving day and completely unnecessary if this had all been confirmed days/weeks earlier.
On Thursday i got a call to say my things would be dropped off in just over an hour. When I was surprised by that the man said it was always going to be delivered that day and Auckland should have told me. Nobody ever told me about delivery at this end. Luckily I was there and that was ok. I could have been completely flexible at this end, just needed communication.
i did get some things that didn't belong to me so hopefully they have found tthe right home.
The actual movers were amazing, helpful and friendly.
i have said i'd use again but would have to have confirmation of everything well before the date required
I'm absolutely delighted with the communication and service I have received from the Conroy Team, it has been excellent and I have no doubt that this will continue to the completion and safe delivery of my contents into their home in two weeks. It's been a pleasure dealing with you.
Not a great experience this time. Truck broke down on its way to us, a rental truck arrived four hours late and was too small to fit everything in. Ended up having to drive 7 hours through the night to our final destination as it wasn't possible to stay in the empty house with all essential items gone and couldn't stay in a motel because we have a dog. This was on a Wednesday; deliv was to be Friday but ended up being following Tuesday. Items were scratched and broken (pedestal fan was snapped, kitchen chair broken, tall boy scratched where something had been dragged across the top of it, a cupboard handle had been broken off and is missing). Also our new hand truck with our name clearly on it is missing.
I understand that breakdowns happen and having our belongings loaded and unloaded several times obviously didn't help. On the up side staff were are friendly and tried to be helpful - just bad luck I guess.
-date of my retrieval was changed without clear communication
-single person arrived to do the removal with incorrect information about what he was picking up (he thought it was just 30 boxes when in fact it was a house full of furniture.)
-delayed arrival with no communication until I sent an email asking what was going on
-broken items, dirty items, dirt mixed into my boxes, permanent dirt stains and marks on the mattress and on white furniture items
-the delivery gentlemen also had some high quality bicycles, tools, and a bike rack they thought were part of my delivery which were not my items. (So someone else maybe unhappy?)
Although being assigned a contact for our removal we had to call the day before to determine details of when your yeam would arrive.
We were advised that at least 3 staff would undertake the shift. Two arrived but one sat in the truck for the first 3 hours. The other person was trying to shift heavy furniture by himself and put holes in the wall - some very significant. We had to assist in carrying some of the large items to try to reduce damage to both walls and our furniture. We ended up carrying most of the boxes down to our garage (a 3 storey house). Forunately we had already wrapped items that was meant to be par of your service as progress was very slow.
Additional staff turned up late morning and things then improved. Mr Elliot also turned up to asses the damage and undertook to have this repaired. As the day progressed more turned up and the shift was completed but it was extremely stressful. Despite clearly labelling fragile boxes we did end up with several breakages as we found that the staff took little regard to the signage in the rush to get things shifted.
Overall a very bad experience.
Thanks for moving our stuff. Movers were lovely and great to have a laugh with which made the move enjoyable. Hard to get in contact with movers on the phone and spent a lot of time on the phone on hold.

Very fast on receiving quote and yours was the only reply out of 3 requests for a quote. Pick-up went well and 3 people to unload at this end went very quickly and easily. Very much recommend the service.
