Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersThe packers were friendly and efficient, although I seem to be missing a bottle of Hugo Boss after shave, and some packets of coffee. The people who packed the truck were also friendly and efficient. I had advised that the delivery had two drop off locations being a storage locker and an apartment, and that the apartment was up four flights of stairs. The price was incresed to reflect the stairs, but when the delivery came the movers seemed not to know about the stairs and spent a long time complaining about this. I ended up carrying most of the boxes up myself while they stood complaining and making phone calls to complain. I was upset at their attitiude as I was upfront and honest about the stairs.
Yep. All went pretty smoothly and no stress for us.Our items were packed up efficiently and safely in NZ, shipped over to Aus then went in to storage for a month until we found a place for them to be delivered.Only issue was the loss of the front wheel of an adult mountain bike which will have been left in the bike packaging box as it was wrapped up individually (not on the bike) but by the time I'd opened all the boxes searching for it, all the waste from our removals had been recycled and no wheel had been found.Easily replaced for less than the insurance excess so no major issue in all honesty.In future, maybe a good idea for the packaging staff member to write a note and leave in the box to highlight the fact there are other parts in there that are separated away as smaller items can easily be missed.
The team we're lovely to have in our home. They worked flat out and we're professional in all they did. They unloaded well at our apartment and the 50 empty boxes were picked up shortly after we advised Conroys that we had unpacked. There was minor damage to an alabaster figurine. It was the second time we had used the company and both times they did a sterling job. Thanks Appii and the team.
ALthough there was 2 years between pick and drop off due to Covid I would recommend Conroys to anyone wanting ship goods overseas or for storage of goods. The team were friendly, helpfuyl and empathetic to my situation. The gentlement who dropped off my consignement were well mannered, humerous and extremley professional. Thankyou!
Nice quick delivery - quicker than expected
Unfortunately the fridge no longer works, so not sure how that was handled in the move, it also arrived with a foot off :(
The Auckland packers were very slow. Prior to our move I specifically asked if we needed to disassemble our slat beds. I was told no that the packers would do it. The packers arrived with no tools to complete this - and took an hour to break down 2 beds. Was like watching paint dry. Not impressed that the young packer was smoking in the container with our stuff. Napier team were amazing. Fast and efficient.
The team (from Tauranga) that packed us would be the best that we have ever encounted.There teamwork and profesional work was above and beyond .
The team in Christchurch (only two ) was let down by the CHC office not listening to my instructions re heavey item (which was noted on the paperwork) and also one member that I would classify as all talk but little action.
It would be a pitty to split up the Tauranga team but would recomend that any of the team would make great trrainers to other teams.
Overall I found Conroy's removals to very good and responsive. Their customer service was also very good.
Whilst the packers were excellent, the loading of our property was simply appalling. When the truck was opened at our new house, nearly the entire contents of the truck fell onto the unpackers. It was extremely dangerous. Furthermore, our furniture and bigger items had been packed without wrap or blankets so virtually everything was scraped, chipped or scuffed. (Loads of photos taken) The unpackers weren't informed that they needed to re-assemble the furniture, even though we paid for this service. Then on top of all that, a third of our items failed to arrive, over a week after being sent from our old home...we still don't know when that truck will arrive. We are disgusted with the service quite frankly.
The communication and delivery was excellent.
Online payment system couldnt recieve the full amount when trying to pay...due to value being to high...maybe inform customer that part payment or split payments over amount quoted will work.Saves time when trying to contact Conroy rep when payment is failing.
Great loading team @ RIver road and was impressed by the inventory taking and documentation...however some dings in the walls of the property,greasy handmarks left on doors and frames and furniture was marked,Some boxes labelled Fragile in red/white tape were squashed.The loading process was like a Tetris game...clever...However some wrapped items were still damaged...Wooden legs,Picture frames,Canvas pic's,Bases of furniture damaged where dragged or marked via possible close proximity to other furniture or truck?
The North Island crew were appreciative of there lunch and drinks that we provided,great attitudes from that team...
Unloading at Ashburton...Glen,Mike and Amber were quick,professional and had fun with that crew....a def asset to your crew,,please buy them Smoko.
They even offered to pickup the cardboard and blankets at a later time by informing me to just call Conroy when ready...Great service.
