Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersI was very happy with the service provided, from the initial office inquiry to the delivery. The staff we dealt with were helpful, polite and cheerful. I would be happy to use them again and also to recommend them to others.
The people who came to pack, packed with no care as to what went into what box. A packer said something about his kids being sick at the time and we tested positive for covid 4 days later. I specifically asked if beds were going to be taken apart and they showed up with no tools. Obviously pretty slack communication. Luckily we had some but if we didn't, we would have been out of luck.
Large and expensive tv unit arrived with 2 deep scratches on top and no care was taken with the coffee table. When unloaded coffee table draws were crooked, couch was dragged on concrete etc.
I asked on a phone call with a delivery person that the beds be put up at drop off location, he confirmed twice - they showed up with no tools and "no time" to put together beds.
boxes loaded into the garage were done so with no care as to what was accessible - such as master bedroom clothing at the back of the garage and couch segments in the front.
despite this, our goods did all turn up and if unpacking all goods at arrival, location of specific items wouldn't be a problem.
Excellent service both when I moved to the UK and back again as the receiving and storage then delivery company. Both Auckland and Nelson teams great to deal with, would use again and highly recommend.
This was the third time I've used Conroy Removals and it was not the same service I had expected and come to know in my past experiences. The fact that you no longer provide boxes, even recycled boxes, free of charge is the first thing that I noticed that was different and very surprising to me. This wasn't clear when I accepted the quote. I also paid $7 for a King plastic bed cover that I never received - the truck that came to drop off the recycled boxes and the bed cover didn't have a size big enough for me, despite me making the order. I ended up using a plastic cover my parents had brought with them just in case I needed it.
On the moving day I had to call two people (one responded to my phone message on moving day with an email! Like I would be checking emails!) to find out what was happening as the truck had not turned up well after 1pm. (I was told between 11 and 12 arrival). When I did finally get hold of someone, they told me of the issues in the morning with a driver calling in sick with covid, so the truck was late leaving Napier. I understand that this is a tricky time but I should have been notified that the truck was late. I had house inspections at the property I was moving out of and in Napier on that day. It was very stressful. It really isn't good enough that I had to call to find out what was happening and when the truck would be arriving. It's not the customer service I had expected from Conroy.
Next time I move, I'll be considering other companies much more seriously.
The guys who did the removal and delivery were great. I have no complaints with the job they did. Nearly everything arrived in great condition.
A great team of guys, kind, collaborative, problem solvers. Polite and obliging. Would highly recommend.
A great team of guys who worked well together in a really collaborative, problem/solving way. They were so polite, kind and obliging. We would love to have all of them back again if we needed to move.

We moved from Hamilton to the top of the South Island and unfortunately the overall service was poor. Communication post-payment regarding pick up and delivery was minimal and initiated primarily by me. An item was 'lost' and delivered two months after pick up. However, the service of the Nelson office and its staff was very good. They were very helpful and provided regular updates regarding the lost item.
Good service overall. Driver forgot initial pickup date and time, and on delivery there was grease/dirt found on the end of the bed and on the mattress
