Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersOur move was made complicated and slower because Conroys were clearly unfamiliar with the street we were moving to which is narrow and steep. The driver of the moving truck was initially unsure if he could get into the street and then had to park on the road blocking access for others. We assisted the Conroys team to move items up the steep driveway into the house. While the guys on the day were positive, worked hard and adapted, this would have been avoided by Conroys checking the street (which is a hill address) beforehand if they were not already familiar. A smaller truck could have parked up the driveway and made the move quicker and much less of a physical demand on us.
Customer service to book and arrange was fantastic. Furniture arrived within estimated range which was also great. Movers didn't disconnect the washing machine properly causing my laundry to flood over several days. They also left big gouge marks in my recently sanded and varnished wooden floor, from moving some items. Some furniture was also damaged during the move. Unfortunately all of that is difficult to put a cost estimate on, meaning difficult to claim under insurance. I would've thought an experienced moving company would know how to disconnect washing machines and take care with moving furniture.
This is my second delivery with Conroy, both times I've had poor customer service. I liaise with Lynn but it seems information does not get passed on from Lynn to the drivers. Firstly, if i give a different contact number they still call the original one. Secondly they made an appointment with me and cancelled but didnt tell me so i took time off work for no reason. Thirdly my company paid for a full end to end service, with unpacking and removal of rubbish but it seems the drivers are not aware of this even though I triple=checked in writing via email after it was obvious this was not what the drivers were used to. In the first delivery the driver came alone so had no help to carry my boxes upstairs. She didnt unpack anything or remove any of the boxes. I didnt hold it against her because she wasnt told. The second delivery the drivers called the wrong number so woke me up at 3am because I was in a different time zone i specifically gave them a friends number who would be there on the day. Then when my friend reiterated they had to unpack items and remove the rubbish they did so begrudgingly because they were unaware and took more than half a day to do so. They piled my things on top of each other, leaving a mess of my place. Sorry but I will not be recommending Conry to my company in the future.

Covid made getting a more accurate quote tricky, but they overcame that with a video call and going through each room and cupboard.

I was unimpressed by the pickup service in Wellington however the delivery team in Christchurch was very personable and efficient. Some damage to the leg of a chair but Conroy has been responsive to this and taken the initiative on getting m y insurance claim started.
Very friendly and professional staff however the packers missed all the towels and bed linen, and one kitchen drawer.
Communication was abit lacking around delivery dates.
This was the most amazing service - with a particular shout out to the packing team that came to our house. Literally the best team and customer service I have come across in any industry.

We had Rick and Jedi from Conroys Tauranga doing our move.Great guys with a real can-do attitude, these guys are a credit to the company.Everything went according to plan, no breakages, everything where it should be etc...Only small issue was that "I" dropped that hideous gnome, how clumsy of me :)

People on the ground were first rate, exceptional service, nothing was a problem. Packing done well and efficiently move mirrored that. Weakest element your phone system or lack of.
