Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersThe three men were very nice people but sorry to say we had lots of damage to our furniture and goods. Our dining table has scraped the roof of the truck and chipped the corner off and the coffee table is now split. Our dressing tables were stored on their ends/sides and are damaged. Our fragile boxes were upside down (hence the breakages) and heavy items were placed on top of our heater and have broken the top and the bottom (it is now rubbish). We haven't unpacked everything yet but this is just what we have found so far. The men worked so fast that I don't believe enough care was taken. Very unfortunate.
Overall the move went well, communication was outstanding even if the bearer of time related shipping delays, not of Conroy's doing.
Packaging was great, no breakages found yet, but only just unpacking now. However the boxes had two (2) labels (bothConroy Removals - White) with different box identification numbers on them. Very confusing when trying to check off quickly which was the correct box number as handlers unloaded...... Got wrong numbering several times and had to be rechecked. Suggestion: Colour code Conroy's labels for different moves.Otherwise very pleased with the service and management. Thank you.
When I decided to move back to NZ I made some inquiries about who to use and Conroy Removals where recommended and from my very first contact with Conroys I couldn't have been happier everyone I dealt with were excellent and they made the whole process so easy for me and kept me informed threwout the whole process and my furniture arrived in NZ in such excellent condition I couldn't believe it it arrived in the same condition as it was first packed in my house in Australia I couldn't recommend Conroys enough and I would personally like to thank all the staff from my first contact through to the delivery driver you know who you are for the excellent professional job you all did for me again my sincere thanks and I'd also like to mention the price was excellent as well

The advice to split out what I needed to take, what was to be delivered, and what was to go into storage, was invaluable! It made things so much easier. The gentleman coming to pack was very efficient, and the pick-up was smooth, despite a delay due to unforseen circumstances. Thank you to all of the people involved.
We were initially happy with the service but on arrival we noticed that some items were damaged. There were marks on a wooden chest that appeared to be from our heavy front loader washing machine and the lif which opens is now warped, also a brand new tv cabinet has damage on the edge. Also we had a brand new couch which has a tear in the front and also the back, looks like they are strap marks. We are disappointed that more care was not taken in loading our furniture as a simple thing like cardboard could have been used around the couch to prevent the strapping from cutting in and causing the tears, the same for the wooden furniture, to place a heavy washing machine on top of wooden furniture seems wrong, it could have also been the fridge as there are obvious marks from the feet. There were fortunately no breakages but some of the boxes were very squashed so maybe more luck than anything else. We paid a lot of money for our possessions to be moved and are disappointed in the service we paid for. I did take photos of the damage and will send them if requested.

In NZ, I received excellent services; however, at the destination,the movers failed to unpack my furnishings property and left me to remove almost all of the packing materials. I placed a complaint with the moving company in New York and was told that my complaint had been forwarded to Conroys in NZ. I have not heard one word about the outcome of that complaint. I am not impressed with the services I received from the time my goods left the port in NY through the delivery process. Otherwise, I was extremely pleased. Hux who coordinated the removal of goods from my home was amazing!!!! That part of the move went very smoothly: he was kind, courteous, and worked very hard during the process. He deserves to be recognized. Julie with the movers in NY was also outstanding. The driver who delivered my goods was....well, what I think he was I cannot write here. He was rude, failed to listen, etc. He needs to be reprimanded for the his job performance.
The packaging and delivery was good. However the storage over 18 month left a lot of our furniture water damaged. Most will need replacing. Some linen mouldy too. There is a mouldy smell in each box we have opened. It is very disappointing.
