Both Alex and Tips were excellent to deal with. They arrived on time and set about loading our household belongings neatly and carefully into the truck. They positioned the truck in a place that was easy to load and keep an eye on what was going where.
When they came to deliver, the same amount of care was evident and they communicated well with us. Thank you all for a pleasant experience throughout the process which went without a glitch and made the move less stressful than we had anticipated.
Crew that collected and packed (Steve and Grace) were brilliant.
The crew that uplifted the initial load were brilliant.
THe two morons that collected the other items the following day were aweful. Having been told that 1 item, a glass topped table was fragile and had a GLASS top, immediatly broke it when loading it into the truck. Consequently table ruined, glass all over the driveway that was not picked up. Another item collected on the second uplift was a microwave cooker. I told the guys that it needed packing around it and the glass plate inside needed safety packing to ensure it didn't get broken. I'm afraid my advice fell on deaf ears because it was not packed with any protection.
When the second vehicle turned up to offload, the microwave was just literally thrown in the back of the truck on its back and damaged beyond repair. The glass plate inside the microwave was also shattered.
I am out of poket for 1 microwave cooker that i will need to replace and a glass topped coffee table that is now useless. Value of items damaged apx 500 dollars.
No problems with your crews apart from the two village idiots that collected the overspill with the small truck.
When the crew delivered the initial load they were not informed that there was a piano on board. Poor communication!!! My 6 foot 2 son assisted with this offload.
1. Initial contact was prompt, and the quotation regarding the volume [38 cubic metres] was accurate, in our opinion.
2. Packing was extremely fast, but failed to abide by instructions on the day. The initial estimate indicated the packing would take place over a period of two days, it was competed in one.
3. Packing was inefficient, in so much that 2 x 3 cube metre shipping chests were consigned empty and 5 x 1 cube metre plastic tubs were also wrapped empty.
4. Inefficient wrapping led to many more boxes than necessary were used, many being only partially filled with goods.
5. Due to the above, the final volume exceeded the quoted amount, leading to the need to repack into a 40 foot container. The cost of which was borne by us!
6. Upon arrival in Fiji, at Suva, it was obvious that your staff were not aware of the procedures surrounding the handling of goods via the Fiji Customs and Biosecurty system. We believe we paid for costs associated with port handling fees in our payment to your company. However, this was not the case, and again we bore the costs of freight handling through your shipping agent, Williams and Gosling.
While we are now in receipt of our goods, we have yet to complete unpacking and many items remain wrapped. We are therefore not in a position to assess any damage, as yet!.
Outstanding
The staff at the Napier depot were outstanding from start to finsh.Cannot fault the service in any way possible.
Meticulous
A very well run operation with meticulous care and attention and on time.
It completely justified Tommy's recommendation
Very good service, from the office and the removal team. Exceptionally helpful.
Upon delivery of items,l found that l was unable to unlock my tool cabinet, upon inspection the back of the toolbox where the locking bar is situated was badly deformed along with a couple of the drawer chrome rails damaged, due to the urgency to use the box for work l was put off putting in an insurance claim with the time involved,l managed to push out the dent so that the lock worked but the damage is still evident, upon delivery of the box l noticed that the truck being used did not have a tailgate lift, being a very heavy item the guys struggled to get the box off the truck, and this is where the damage to the drawers occurred being scraped down the back of the truck as they were lifting it off,l did not realise the damage was evident until l removed the packaging.
