Standout points: warm manner of Vanessa - an advantage in having a female native English speaker on the phone. Explained her point of difference in collecting money.

Eric - lead hand - had seen some of the internal photos I sent and they assisted his decision making. Accepted I was timing the operation to minimise cost. 

I used chess movers to move my household items from Australia to nz. I was happy with chess and the way they packed and looked after my gear. Very professional.

However once my gear arrived in nz, Conroy movers took over the delivery process. I was happy with the communication from conroys.I did request my good to be delivered Asap. I had to ring them up chasing down a delivery time and date so I could sort out being home.  What I wasn't happy with was the drop off.

when the guys opened the rear truck door I was shocked at how my stuff was stored. It looked like they had just chucked everything in there anyhow and was not packed for transport properly at all, which I'm guessing is why we had a broken chair (like it was smashed not just broken) and also dents in our beautiful bedroom suite.

also my partner asked them to put stuff marked garage obviously in the garage, only to come home to find garage stuff all in the house eg tools, hose reel esky's and so on. Not sure if the blokes could read or not!.

So happy I got my stuff not happy with delivery!!.

Moving is one of the most stressful things to do, moving to the other side of the world takes it to a new level but I was so glad I used "local" to help me.  Conroys kept me updated every step of the way and their agent, Robinsons, in the UK were equally good.  I felt I could ask them anything.  Conroys and Robinsons were a great team to use if you're moving to the UK.

The team packing out of Auckland were fantastic and on time and very professional. The team unpacking were made up of Alfie from Tauranga the driver and main man unpacking who was great but the 2 lads moving the boxes were a little lazy in so far as most of the boxes for inside were just delivered to the front outside deck and then the expectation was that My wife and I lift them from there into the house - I did hear Alfie on a couple of occasions telling the boys to bring the boxes in but they never seemed to get it. This later service was a great disappointment after such Sterling service upto then Rachel from your HO was great also. Shame it is the last thing you remember is doing all the lugging at the end.

Hi - our moving experience with Conroys was the very best.Nathan was very professional and super helpful. The three guys who shifted us - not quite sure of names but Justin, Drew and ? (sorry I forgot) - were very careful with our stuff, easy to communicate with, helpful and quick. I have already recommended Conroys to two people and would definitely use your company again.
