A very smooth move organised at very short notice. Nice, friendly guys. Organised and hard working. Found the move easy as.....
Cheerful And Helpful
The professional, cheerful and helpful manner of all the Conroys staff we dealt with during moving from Clive to Hamilton made a stresssful time much easier.
To date, the following has been noted (still more to unpack):
The young man assisting with the upload, wrenched out the washing machine out from under the bench, breaking the inlet hose, which we had to get replaced before leaving Auckland - this cost us $209.15 to get a repairman out and a new part.
Some items were packed upside down in boxes, and these leaked through the paper.
A number of boxes / items upon unload were found to be very wet - truck leaking?
One item of furniture not blanket wrapped - gouged top
When the supplementary load was delivered, I asked it a significant pile of paper / knocked down boxes could ne take back to depot. The driver said this was not possible as he did not have any paper work - PR?????

Severe Damage
Medium to severe damage to a few furniture and missing bits. Delivery truck knocked over power box causing power cut to neighbours during first delivery but luckily Vector fixed it at no cost to us, Conroy did not even have the curtesy to reply despite emailing Conroy. Unfortunately we will never be a repeat customer :-)
Lack Of Communication
The packing, uplift and delivery team were exceptional! Reliable, quick, efficient, friendly and very respectful. The customer service in Christchurch and Auckland regarding uplift and expected delivery time - crap. The uplift team were expected at 0800hrs turned up at 0930hrs. I had to make three phone calls including one to the Christchurch rep who was going to 'ring you back in 5' and did not. The Christchurch dispatcher could not care less and gave me a 'will be there around 8:30ish' attitude. The guys that turned up profusely apologised on behalf of Conroy and was not suprised at the lack of communication. Not a good value look! The actual truck driver had to travel across in the early hours from the West Coast which leaves your rostering a lot to be desired - why could the dispatcher not tell me that when I rang?? The Auckland dispatch - I did not receive a phone call, phone message and or email confirming time of drop off at location. The delivery driver rang to advise me they were at the warehouse location and lucky he was flexible as they had to wait 45mins for someone to arrive. You 'might be moving with the times' but your Communication and values (what are they?) need reviewing and improving! Communication is key. Moving can be stressful depending on the situation - we as the customer need to be reassured, that you are looking after us from A to B, we should not have to call you to ask where the move is at during any stage.
Excellent ground staff especially Lucy who has potential further up the company I believe. Some of the packing boxes could have been labelled better which would have made unpacking easier but no big deal. The boys on the truck were tireless and great guys.
