The packing up went well, but my contents are in storage for a while so I can't comment on the unpacking end of the business. Thanks.
Having chosen Conroys because they were the only ones professional enough to send out someone to check out prior to the move, I was a bit disappointed that, despite me pointing out to the person that a truck of larger size may not get down the drive, you sent a truck that tried to get down the drive and, after sustaining minor damage to the letter box and realised they could not get under a power line, left the truck on the road and filled it from there. What's he point of a pre-move visit, I ask?

In general the storage of our household effects was managed well, in terms of uplift, communication, and then the return to our house. Unfortunately, there were a number of damaged items which we now need to claim insurance on, a process we are starting now. For example, some of our appliances were dented and the couch came back with spots and marks. In addition to this, Conroy place a small sticker on every item of furniture to help identify them as ours. This makes a lot of sense, but the type of sticker means it does not come off easily, leaving a lot of residue. We spent a few hours scrubbing off the sticker residue from all our wooden furniture.
The guys were extremely helpful and caring
The guys were extremely helpful and caring. When packing they checked if certain items were to go or not, and when unpacking at my new house they asked where to put pieces of furniture (the exact spot). Couldn't have asked for a better group of men. Thank you so much.
Arrived a day late to deliver my furniture which messed up my timetable. The guys got everything inside which was fantastic but I was inconvenienced by having to wait an extra day and then was told they would arrive at 8 and they arrived at 9.30
Disappointed. For what was a horrifically expensive move especially. A box of expensive bottles of bleach was left behind because "they don't transport flammables" - this was communicated to me by the owners at the storage unit after packing was complete and not the movers themselves. Could have easily been cleared up with a phone call because Bleach. Is. Not. Flammable.
Took the day off for delivery day, was told the day before they expected to be mid morning if not, "just after lunch". Twiddled my thumbs til approx 3pm. Zero communication that they were running behind.
Pointed out on the day that the TV remotes appeared to be missing as I recall taping them to the back of the TVs. Was dismissed as they said they should have been put in boxes.
Followed up via email a week later after digging through everything and was dismissed again and told to check "all corners of the house because usually the client finds them". Clearly the respondent didn't even bother to look up the details of my move which would have shown them that it was from a storage unit that the company themselves packed and loaded. Someone else from their company was cc'd in their reply but so far no follow up 10 days later from anyone.
Including some minor damage to a few bits and pieces - overall just frustrating enough to not recommend.
