No Complaints
The staff are very helpful, they did the job quickly but efficient and they had no complaints whatsoever with regards to the weight of our things. Would contact Conroy Removals again when we move. Very thankful for the service and would recommend!
Took Care, Like It Was Their Own Property
The 3 young men took care of our property and treasures like they were their own. And they interacted with us, however didn't waste time or our money. Very happy with the care they took.
Nothing Was Too Much Trouble
Excellent communication via emails & telephone calls. Staff were fantastic, introduced themselves & worked hard - took good care of my belongings. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything packed carefully. Very fast & efficient service.
My two cartons arrived and it was easy to arrange with your driver for a pick up in Balclutha. However one carton had obviously been dropped and this caused several crockery items inside to be broken. I have moved house numerous times and I would consider myself to have a professional level of packing. I didn't say anything to the driver at the time as I believed my packing would be more that surficient to handle a normal level of handling by a household removal service. Accidents happen I accept, but this I believe was either due to poor securing in the truck or was dropped at some time between me delivering the cartons to your Napier office and receiving them off the truck in Balclutha. I have photos of the carton and the broken items I can send to you if you want them.
Lack Of Responsibility And Communication
The price and packing of our goods was reasonable, although the packing took A LOT longer than had been allowed for. This wasn't helped by the fact that due to sick leave no one arrived on the last scheduled day, then when they did arrive hours later they turned up with no boxes.
we also found that a few of the goods had been mishandled and broken or dented when they unpacked, although this is to be 'somewhat' expected
the real reason for the low rating was the lack of communication from the admin side. The agent I spoke to initially 'Lee' was great and was able to video call and assess all our furniture to price the move. He was also fabulous at replying to any questions I had prior to the move. From there it just went down hill. I emailed regarding insuring our shipment and only received a reply weeks later when it was then too late to insure anything. So our goods inadvertently went uninsured. This made a very stressful time even worse I am STILL yet to receive a reply to my email questioning why this happened (even after asking to hear from the manager) and it has been months.
The initial communication with the NZ team was good, although since we have had our belongings delivered the communication has dried up again. We are again waiting for a reply regarding what we feel to be lost items. We had to phone 3 or 4 times just to get the boxes picked up after we had unpacked them.
I probably wouldn't recommend or use Conroys again at this point due to the consistent lack of responsibility and communication.
