The 4 person delivery crew led by Glen were fantastic. They were hard working, professional, careful, and respectful of the goods and house, whilst being great at communication. Their part in the process was 5 star all the way.
There were some difficulties in Conroy's communication dealing with the originating US company and as a customer I did everything Conroy's representative asked to get the US company to communicate, but I did not appreciate being given the ultimatum that unless I paid for the NZ delivery in advance, for a service I had already paid for, my goods would be withheld and I'd have to pay additional storage charges. I got the US company to pay so this did not happen, but the ultimatum should not have happened either as this should have been sorted out between the companies without the customer having to intervene. This significantly reduced my rating of the experience.

Fantastic people who went out of their way to make our move easy and trouble free. The packing was impeccable and Alistair & Zak, our movers, were great guys who gave outstanding service. Highly recommended.
Very Happy
I was very happy with my experience with Conroys, from the initial site visit, to the very easy online booking, constant communications, timings, friendliness of staff etc. and would definitely recommend using your company. The only disappointment was that there was still a load of potted plants that were not moved even though my husband had asked twice. There were also a few broken items, (a wooden stool and a child's guitar) but we had expected a few breakages. I was very happy with the packers and movers, There were plenty of laughs and good humour. All in all a happy customer.
The price and packing of our goods was reasonable, although the packing took A LOT longer than had been allowed for. This wasn't helped by the fact that due to sick leave no one arrived on the last scheduled day, then when they did arrive hours later they turned up with no boxes.
we also found that a few of the goods had been mishandled and broken or dented when they unpacked, although this is to be 'somewhat' expected
the real reason for the low rating was the lack of communication from the admin side. The agent I spoke to initially 'Lee' was great and was able to video call and assess all our furniture to price the move. He was also fabulous at replying to any questions I had prior to the move. From there it just went down hill. I emailed regarding insuring our shipment and only received a reply weeks later when it was then too late to insure anything. So our goods inadvertently went uninsured. This made a very stressful time even worse I am STILL yet to receive a reply to my email questioning why this happened (even after asking to hear from the manager) and it has been months.
The initial communication with the NZ team was good, although since we have had our belongings delivered the communication has dried up again. We are again waiting for a reply regarding what we feel to be lost items. We had to phone 3 or 4 times just to get the boxes picked up after we had unpacked them.
I probably wouldn't recommend or use Conroys again at this point due to the consistent lack of responsibility and communication.
