It was an EQ Remove/Store/Return service. The good service and excellent communication were over shadowed by the damage to the goods. This was caused by bad handling and the indiscriminate use of wide adhesive tape.

Both the pick and delivery team were most helpful and obliging.
Had some minor damage to several items, which was attended promptly by local Manager.
Ther was an issue with a I-Pad that went missing over the first day that could not be resolved. Was not able to be located when all items were unpacked. A real mystery as to what actually happened.

"Some things were wrapped and shipped very poorly"
The good: Parts of the service were really good. Some things were wrapped and shipped really well. The price was about a grand or more cheaper than Crown or NZ Vanlines. They settled claims for damage in a timely manner.
The bad: Some things were wrapped and shipped very poorly, especially plants, but also ornaments and things. E.g. plants on top of plants; ornaments and lighting stuffed in drawers unwrapped. Things were left behind; they had to go back twice to get stuff. There was miscommunication between the different parts of the company (the office, the packers, and the movers). The excess on their insurance wasn't made very clear; it was in the fine print somewhere, but it should have been front and centre when signing up. I would normally be on top of that kind of thing, but amidst moving cities, changing jobs and selling a house, I didn't have time.

"lack of comms re the delayed delivery let the service down"
Pick up from Wellington was good, good communication and arrived on time. Delivery to Waipuk was not so good. I was advised arrival would be early pm, eventually arried 4.30pm and no communication was provided re the delay. Both pick up and delivey teams were very pleasant and helpful, just the lack of comms re the delayed delivery let the service down.

still waiting for my stuff!!! has cleared customs etc but not delivered!! even though it cleared a week a go, have emailed twice for delivery date but have now had a response! would really like my stuff.

Great service! The guys loading and unloading took very good care of our possessions and we're very professional throughout the process. Thank you for making our move a little less stressful.
Only issue I had that stopped a 5 star rating was I was not advised my belongings were on a truck on the way to me, I was to be advised. Was a surprise to be called by Scott asking if they were able to drop my gear off on Friday about an hour after the call at 1430. The guys were spot on and arrived at 1530hours, was very impressed with the delivery team.
