Kevin did a great job of packing,however, we felt he could have had a mate to help him as he was exhausted after the first day! Full marks he was back next morning for more of the same! Neil and his team did a great job loading, inspite of the thunder storm ! He and his assistant unloaded well this end and he kept his cool with the couple of "oldies"! Thanks to Doug Elliot for convincing us to use Conroy Removals.

We chose Conroy because I had used them to move household goods from Christchurch to Auckland and the service was excellent. Firstly I would say the packers did an amazing job but they were let down by inadequate support from the Auckland office and Conroy management. We had a big house and despite my querying a one day pack on the quote I was assured it would be adequate. By 12.30pm it was clear they would not complete our pack. I contacted the company who eventually sent 3 more helpers and it was completed. The next day was loading the truck. The workers to load it were not transported to our site until 10am despite the truck being there from 8.45am When I contacted the office I was told not to worry! Again by lunch time it was clear it would not be completed and extra help had to be requested. Unloading was only just satisfactory. The 2 workers who assisted the driver were hired help and untrained. They worked really hard but were not provided with even the barest of equipment such as gloves. My main concern is that Conroy HEALTH AND SAFETY for their workers seems to be NON EXISTANT. The workers were expected to manually lift heavy items onto the back of high trucks which put them at huge risk of injury. I would have thought a Tail Lift truck would have been essential. They also appeared to have no instruction on safe lifting techniques and no equipment to assist them. There also was no first aid equipment available - I provided a worker who injured his hand with the necessary first aid - and of course there was no documentation for this injury, something I thought was mandatory with the new health and safety legislation. The final disappointing discovery was that the truck was not waterproof and some of our belongings were wet and soggy. This is to my mind totally unacceptable. So all in all I think that Conroy needs to offer a better service, value their workers and make improved Health and Safety for their workers a priority.

I dealt with great & respectful people from sales through removal management through operations delivery teams. Uplift and drop off happened in accordance with my expectation. There was no appreciable damage to anything. When I did contact my removal manager, any concern I had around logistics and timing was either dealt with immediately or followed up on in a really timely manner.

A huge thank you to the Team - from Penny at the Front Desk, Derek who priced the job and then the 3 staff who arrived with the Truck on our moving day. Everyone added their skills to make our whole shifting process extremely enjoyable!! I really appreciated the boxes being delivered to the house for me to pack and when I needed more boxes - Penny just worked her magic and we had them quickly. Derek had the truck size spot on!! Then the Team on the day of our shift arrived with such a great outlook - they had been briefed that my husband had ended up in hospital and things in our house were a little stressful with a challenging situation of not knowing if we could get the keys that day, due to a very horrible Vendor!! I am so grateful for the positive attitiude they each had to "make this shift as stress free as possible" the get a 10/10 for keeping me in that calm state all day!! Quietly reminding me when things arose that it was ok and to keep calm - nothing was a problem. We had quite a few laughs as the day progressed - this shift has to be the BEST one ever....Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.....
