Terrible Communication
I want to complain about the level of customer service I have received throughout this process. It was fantastic throughout the quoting process, right up until payment was made. I was told I would receive confirmation of payment, I didn't. I requested delivery for the 6/11/2017 and was told that shouldn't be a problem and someone from operations would call me, they didn't. I called on the 6th (expected day of delivery) to be told that deliveries don't happen in New Plymouth on Monday. It would have been helpful if someone had just told me this previously. I then got told I would be called back to be given a day/time of delivery. Noone called, I called again and got told I would be called back. Someone called back only to tell me they would call me back around 3pm to confirm, you guessed it, no one called me back. I called first thing this morning to follow up, and yet again got told someone would call me back once they got settled at the office. Two hours later no one called, so I had to follow up yet again. I Was finally told that I should expect the goods on Wednesday 8/11/17 at 10:30am. If I was told this at some point previously I could have arranged my schedule accordingly. The truck turns up with our stuff So we are glad that it was finally over.. then our rug is missing. I call the Auckland depot only to be told someone would call me back! I had given up on being called back by this point, but still held out a little hope. Noone called me back. Took 2 days to even figure out what had happened to the rug. I've been told it's on its way this week, although I'm not holding my breath. It has been a terrible experience for my wife and I as we try and settle into our new home. Again, it's not the fact that it came on a day other than the 6th, it's the fact that no one was ever able to give us an answer. And no one ever called us back to let us know what was going on.
Lack of Contact
The only concern I had was that the time from the automated quote acceptance was received there is no contact until about 2 days before the move. For my own peace of mind I rang the 0800 to confrm that all was booked for the day. Sue was extremely friendly and helpful. It would have been good to know that I would not hear anything more until the confirmation time just prior to removal. Would have stopped me worrying. Also I wasn't given any time to expect the drop off 2 days later. I was told by the despatch office to ask the driver. I asked the driver and he said he wouldn't give me a time as it would only get changed. Consequently I waited for 4 hours until the truck arrived. If this had been an elderley or less mobile couple it could have been very stressful for them.

Thank you for moving my stuff over from perth to nz. This time is always stressful. I appreciate the professionalism .my only small gripe is i was not contacted once goods were received in tauranga which i had to chase up myself.

Service was great from the first communication to the last. I was kept updated often as to the arrival of my container. The gents that unpacked were good and very professional.
I thought your container truck was not the correct machine for the job. Your guys had a lot of trouble getting stuff on and off, you should have trucks with tailgate lifts for health and safety reasons. Some of the packing of items into the truck was a bit rough but then nothing was really damaged so I guess it was fine.
There was also a mix up in coordination of phone numbers for unlocking the storage unit, nothing that did not get sorted out but could have caused a headache so better coordination between your despatcher and truck would have helped.
Guys unloading the truck were polite, careful and very helpful so 10/10 for them.
All in all I'm happy, thanks for your help.
