"sour taste in our mouth"
Justin from Conroy was great when he came out to our house and the whole process to get our goods over was great. However, we had two guys pack our goods and one did a really poor job. We had a lot of items damaged but they were ony small things and not worth the value of the excess we would have had to pay on the insurance.
It is a real shame and most disappointing.
The guys that delivered our goods were also great but the damaged goods and poor packaging really left a sour taste in our mouth and ruined the whole experience.

Both Mike & Adam were helpful hard working and great to deal with. I haven't seen sardines packed as well as our stuff was. Management should give both these guys a chocolate fish!

"Packing of boxes and truck excellent'
Packing of boxes and truck excellent. Workers very friendly, efficient and hard working. BUT packing was not all done on the first day & only 2 people were sent to pack remainder of Kitchen and dining room which left one person packing and one loading truck so my daughter helped the workers in packing up the kitchen to make moving faster. ALSO there was not enough room on the truck for all of our household items which was quoted for. Considering we put small items into both our cars (4 car loads in total) prior to moving day. We were still left with 3 car loads of household items that could not fit onto the truck. This did not include any items from outside or in the garage. We would like to be compensated for the 3 carloads of items that were left behind. This has cost us petrol and considerable amounts of time as we are both elderly which was why we paid for a removalist in the first place.

2 people slow and not very efficient job took to long not happy about been charged for 30 min while they folded up blankets and tidy up the truck.

Overall delivery was complete, and all goods safely handled. Frustrating that the timeframe of 6-8 weeks from Wellington to Perth (ie Mid December to 30th January) got extended and extended due to multiple reasons
-container not full, -container missed loading time on boat, delayed by another week, -australian office failed to contact us when good cleared, add a few more day....
resulting in the delivery taking nearly 15 weeks
I do appraciate being warned that the delivery could take some time, but feel that this delay was substantially longer than anticipated. Knowing it could have taken this long we would have looked at alternative options for transfering our household, and altered what was needing to be moved.
Everything was fantastic at the NZ end. Very responsive to get someone out to quote, highly efficient in the office (Taupea deserves special recognition - she is great!). The guys who came to pack up were really great - can't give enough praise there. They are friendly, efficient and solutions-focused. We felt the service in Australia wasn't quite as good from an administration perspective. We received regular email updates but they seemed almost automated and didn't give much of an indication as to when we could expect to receive our goods and we felt they almost unrealistically raised our expectations at some points. After some time with no meaningful contact I phoned the person I received the email from they didn't have a lot of information as delivery is all handled by Operations and it wasn't clear when the container was to be inspected by Quarantine. Also, apparently there were some delays at the Port caused by Cyclone Debbie. Finally, I phoned again and I asked to speak to Operations and I was told some bad news - that they were "fully booked". I did get a bit upset as I felt that I was not going to receive the service I had paid for. However, Sylvan in Operations pulled out all the stops for me and got my good delivered to me the next day. Once again, the guys on the ground who unloaded and unpacked were fantastic. Just brilliant really - my husband was so impressed. So, overall, a really good experience and we will definitely use Conroys again when we move back to NZ. The only thing I would recommend to improve the service is a bit more clarity from the communications from the office team in Australia regarding delivery of goods.
