Items were broken, one of them due to poor and lazy packing which I was not expecting given I paid professionals to pack for us. We were prewarmed by friends who had just used you that the guys didn't want to take away the boxes (included in quote price) so we had someone home to insist on this. Surprisingly we were told they weren't planning on taking it, weren't sure if they could etc, and had to ring head office to check our booking before they would take it. Also, at the outset, I was concerned that no one could tell me the underwriter or the excess of the transit insurance which you are selling as an add on (albeit via broker) The best thing about the experience was the man who came to our house in Sydney to do the estimate quote, he was fantastic and very professional.

"made an extremely stressful process even more stressful"
The move started out fine. However, call to pieces rapidly. Our movers were poorly prepared. We specifically told Conroy's we would need to lift some furniture over a balcony as it would not fit otherwise. Our last moving team from Conroys was efficient, professional, pleasant and prepared, in contrast this team paled in comparison. They complained about having to lift furniture into the roof of the truck, I explained that Conroy was made aware. We ended up having to assist them lifting large pieces of furniture ourselves. Finally after this they told us that they were going to leave two items behind because they would not fit. When asked what we must do to solve the issue we were told "not out problem, we have to go to Taupo." We phoned the office and the the person organised the two items to be retrieved. They broke two of our large potted plants, scratched out brand new floors and scraped our deck. When we commented in their lack of care the response was "what do you expect." Our comment "we expect you to be cautious." After all of this we were billed $1200 and asked for beers. I provided the mover with two beers to be polite and move them along but I was far from impressed. All of this made an extremely stressful process even more stressful. The last time we used Conroy we were so pleased that we used you again. After this experience we will not use your services nor recommend you. When we attempted to comment we were met with challenges and indignance.

The Brisbane end of the business was excellent, the customer contact for quoting with John thorugh to the gys that packed the house. The contaner left when Conroys said it would and arrived in Nelson on the date they said also. The containr was deliverd and unpacked 6 days after docking. We had one peic eof furniture damaged with a broken leg to a bedroom draw unti and some f our plastic boxes we packed stuff in had smased lids but other wise it was all good.

Will know how to do it better next time! While waiting for the goods to be shipped I enquired what was happening and was told I'd be contacted when they were shipped. If I had been told at the beginning, then that would have been better. While there was a customs clearance office at the destination, document clearance had to be done in Toronto (with the inconvenience of this being nearly two hours drive each way from the recipient's place of work) and apparently where to go to do this wasn't made very clear - however that is the other end, not this end. Next time I'll know to request clearance be done at the destination address. Eventually, everything arrived safely, thank you :)

Your guys were awesome. This is the second time we've used Conroys and we would definitely use them again.

"Friendly and helpful administration staff and moving teams"
Moving our belongings out of storage in Wellington and transporting them to Christchurch was seamless, even following the recent earthquake damage to the main trunkline. Efficent commmunication and quotations via online and delivery date met. Friendly and helpful administration staff and moving teams.
"communication was appalling"
I have used Conroy once before and had a really good experience and service. This time I don't know what went wrong but communication was appalling. Having been told you would arrive to upload furniture between 8 and 9 I was surprised that no one turned up til 1o'clock, which left a Conroy helper waiting for hours for the truck to come. I had to leave them to it as we were booked on a ferry. Then at the other end again no one could tell me when the truck was arriving and only after several phone calls did. I find anyone helpful. They also left a wardrobe and a chair behind despite it being on the list, and I still haven't heard how they intend to get these items to me.
This is no reflection on Gary the moving man who was pleasant and courteous at all times.

Couldnt speck highly enough of the diver Garry, nothing was a problem. The rest of the service was excellent.
