"I have mixed feelings about the service"
I have mixed feelings about the service to be honest. I actual delivery ofthe goods was fantastic. The movers arrived within the half hour timeslot that was arranged for delivery. They were really nice, quick and clear throughout the whole unpacking. I am not satisfied however with the efforts that I had to go through to arrange the delivery. My concern is the communication on the end of Conroy Removals. You have to understand firstly that I came in contact with Conroy through my overseas shipping company. I thus never have been in touch with Conroy before and not knowing who you are dealing with, makes me guarded in case something weird happens to be cargo. I had to fill out some forms regarding MPI, which I did. I submitted them, got a verification that they arrived. A week later however, I got reminders that they still needed the forms. It turned out to be a mistake in administration, since they were actually in your posession. That is fine, mistakes happen. I do not however appreciate that I tried to call you about 4 times to finally reach someone to look into the "missing documents". The first 3 times I was told that they would come back to me to see if I actually needed to send the documents still. But every time I did not get a response. I finally got that response and all was fine.
But then the cargo finally came in. I got an e-mail that you would get in touch with me concerning the delivery to Christchurch. That did not happen, even after a week post arrival in Auckland. I called you again and had to go through three seperate branches to finally arrive at the person that could arrange delivery. Only when I called him I found out that the stuff was actually already in Christchurch. Delivery was then very swiftly arranged (thank you for that, that was actually great) and I got my cargo the next day. It leaves me with a sour taste though: why do I get e-mails from many different people with different phone numbers? Especially because I would not feel familiar with Conroy Removals, this had me doubting whether I should trust the whole process. Why do I not get a reponse, even when I enquire towards the cargo and specifically ask for a response? What would have happened if I had not followed up on the cargo? Would it have remained in Christchurch for weeks? In the future, I would definitely appreciate more communication. I feel that I should, as a costumer, not be required to follow up to this extend on the services that ought to be provided by Conroy. I want to finally stress that I am actually happy with the delivery and I thank you for arranging all that. I felt compelled to give this feedback as I think that, without communication issues, the service you provide could actually be great.

The lads were courteous, helpful and very careful with my self-packed goods; not a single item was broken. Was worried about my fish tank but they handled that perfectly too. Thank you.

The packing, the removal, the storage and the return of our household goods was done in a very professional, friendly manner and a good sense of humour which helped to reduce the stress for us. Thank you Conroys. A job well done.
A few issues but got there in the end
From misplacing the key to my unit or it getting lost in the post and I having to make alternative arrangements with the storage company. Which was a bit of a hassle. Also advised the furniture would arrive at 10am. Didn’t arrive until 1.30. I wasn’t rung at 8am to be advised it would come later in the day. But apart from those minor mishaps I was very happy with the customer service and the guys that delivered the goods.
Very pleasant and hard working guys to deal with. I recommend that they carry gloves for use when carrying cream coloured furniture, the odd finger mark had to be cleaned off, but not a big problem.
