Ill Prepared
The guys showed up unaware it was a split move. They were ill prepared for wet weather and it was very wet. The ferry truck that was despatched to support the main truck which could not get up the driveway at the new property, was also unable to get up the driveway party due to excess surface water but it was the wrong truck for the job as it was too big as well. In the end out entire pickup was taken back to the Conroys depot and we had to find overnight accommodation at a neighbours place. The guys turned up the next day and completed the job other than we understood they would unwrap the items they had wrapped but they did not. The guy who did the wrapping on day one did not return on day two so that might have been the reason. Trevor was the main man and he was great as were the two other guys who were here on day two.
Part two of our move is scheduled for Monday May 7th. Unfortunately we have a different driver coming. We have repeatedly asked for specilist wrapping material as promised by your assessor but nothing has arrived as yet. We are optomistic sufficient wrapping will arrive Monday.

The two guys who did our move were fantastic - they were on time and were very accommodating with moving some particularly heavy furniture.
The only constructive feedback is to use padding on the moving trolley, as it did damage some of our furniture.
Punctual Delivery
Quick to answer all queries, and fantastic communication through the whole process. Very punctual with delivery. First rate in all aspects.
All Great
All great, correspondence, delivery team and packing materials pickup efficient and friendly. The only recommendation would be to give a bit more notice on expected deliveries. I had to call to find out that my shipment would be delivered the next day and the pickup of packing materials team just turned up.

Made Us Feel Like Top Priority
Conroy were fabulous. They made us feel like we were the top priority and all of our requests were met easily. Would definitely use them again and recommend for those looking to move to NZ.
Upsetting
I have not answered the questions above as you sent a young guy on loading day and he was particuly rough on my belongings, I spoke to him about it but he took no notice. I should have sent him too sit in the truck & not partake in the loading, hence this is why I have not answered the questions above. I have had several brackerages & damaged tooo furniture thru rough handling. Upsetting. This is not the first time Conroys have done this to me in a move hence I would not recommend Conroys to anyone in the future. The other guys were good, unloaders good & guys who have picked up boxes so far very pleasant.
Cautious With Our New Home

I used Conroys around a year ago for a Wellington to Queenstown shift and it went very smoothly, you guys were great. This time, based on my past experience, we chose you again, and you had competative prices. It took a very long time to get our shift organised especially with the dates. We also had 2 pick ups which was an added annoying thing for everyone. On friday (for a monday pick up), that's when we were told the pick up time and which one was first - between 1pm and 3pm with a 30min warning call. This was great but by around 2:45pm we were a little worried so called and they were about 45mins away. They were then very slow (2men) and had no labels for the boxes/items. They then had one more small pick up on the way before getting to the second of our pick ups which didn't happen till around 6:15pm. The timing of the pick ups with no warning and no notification or heads up that they were running pretty late is unacceptable. One courtesy call around 2pm would have been great and made all the difference. We would have been happy customers if we just had have known however we were disgruntled, tired for waiting and 3 hours later than expected on the eve of our departure from Wellington where things were planned as it was our last evening in Wellington. At the other end, drop off in New Plymouth (Friday), I called on Thursday and were told they would be dropping off after 2pm (which was fine because we were going to be home all afternoon and had been expecting the drop off for then). Instead the truck arrived at 11am, no one gave us a 30min heads up, and only one guy turned up, with no tools for the bed (even though we had asked for this). What if we had not have been home or if we were pretty far away as it had been scheduled for 2pm. About 30mins later a couple of NZ van lines guys turned up and the move was done and the bed up within 30mins. This was great, and they were great, so we are grateful for that. Conroys really needs to step up the communication between their office team and the operations team because it's a really terrible, disjointed service. Moving times are stressful for people and you don't make it any easier. We dealt with NZ Vanlines again a couple of days later to move our piano, and Mainfreight who were delivering a couch that we had ordered and these two companys, especailly Mainfreight (with their communication) were exceptional to deal with. I wouldn't have expected to pay over a thousand dollars of my hard earned money and get this kind of service. We are glad that we have our home contents here with us now, but very disappointed at the process and service we received.
