I have yet to be contacted/informed of whereabouts of my shipment. Early days? supposed to have landed Fremantle West Australia last week 8th November
Terrible Communication
The communication has been terrible with your company. Our drier was left behind which I had to chase up, it eventually turned up one day and was left out the front of our house, without a phone call or email. We still have 2 missing items, a vacuum cleaner and a brand new rocking chair for breast feeding my baby. I have had no communcation as to where these items are, an apology or an update to what I need to do if these items are not located.
We used your service because when we had our items shipped from Australia with your company it was seamless and professional. This time round it has not been the case.

The guys who did the pickup in Christchurch were amazing, they went well above and beyond their duties and our expectations. Fantastic guys, very helpful, we really appreciated their support, definitely deserving of a raise :) 10/10
Two Boxes Left Behind
Two boxes were left in Melbourne but still happy with the service.

Overall a good move. We had just the one breakage we need to claim on. This probably wouldn't have happened if our gear wasn't handled twice. Our quoter under estimated the volume of our stuff and it all didn't fit into the one container as expected. This lead to some double handling. But as I said at the begining a good move. The guys delivering our stuff were very friendly, efficient and courteous.

I had absolutely excellent service from Deborah who quoted the job and liaised with me throughout. She was flexible and responsive and a standout employee. However after that things went a bit wobbly. On the day of the move while the guys were very helpful they really need to brush up on professionalism. I was moving out due to my mum's bereavement after 32 years in my house and didn't really need to hear the vivid, expletive laden (nxxxxr/mxxxr fxxxr etc), gory stories of their mate's latest MMA fight all morning. More concerning was that I kept hearing comments the van was not being packed properly and that their colleague "didn't know what he was doing". This turned out to be true when damaged item after damaged item was pulled out at the other end. When I looked in the truck I saw clearly labelled fragile boxes squashed under book boxes, and other boxes jammed in until crushed. Three items of furniture were also damaged, one beyond repair. I am actually too scared to open some boxes as I have already had bits of broken china fall out. Your off load colleagues (Sam and Ra) were more professional and focussed and did what they could to deal with a difficult and awkward situation. They also expressed concern - a number of times -that the load did not seem to be packed correctly. I cannot do much about the damage. I packed it myself and had my own insurance which is not worth triggering. I will say that the damage was not a result of my bad packing, or handling per se but there were definitely issues with loading as confirmed by two lots of your staff. All in all a very mixed experience!

I thought your container truck was not the correct machine for the job. Your guys had a lot of trouble getting stuff on and off, you should have trucks with tailgate lifts for health and safety reasons. Some of the packing of items into the truck was a bit rough but then nothing was really damaged so I guess it was fine.
There was also a mix up in coordination of phone numbers for unlocking the storage unit, nothing that did not get sorted out but could have caused a headache so better coordination between your despatcher and truck would have helped.
Guys unloading the truck were polite, careful and very helpful so 10/10 for them.
All in all I'm happy, thanks for your help.
Terrible Communication
I want to complain about the level of customer service I have received throughout this process. It was fantastic throughout the quoting process, right up until payment was made. I was told I would receive confirmation of payment, I didn't. I requested delivery for the 6/11/2017 and was told that shouldn't be a problem and someone from operations would call me, they didn't. I called on the 6th (expected day of delivery) to be told that deliveries don't happen in New Plymouth on Monday. It would have been helpful if someone had just told me this previously. I then got told I would be called back to be given a day/time of delivery. Noone called, I called again and got told I would be called back. Someone called back only to tell me they would call me back around 3pm to confirm, you guessed it, no one called me back. I called first thing this morning to follow up, and yet again got told someone would call me back once they got settled at the office. Two hours later no one called, so I had to follow up yet again. I Was finally told that I should expect the goods on Wednesday 8/11/17 at 10:30am. If I was told this at some point previously I could have arranged my schedule accordingly. The truck turns up with our stuff So we are glad that it was finally over.. then our rug is missing. I call the Auckland depot only to be told someone would call me back! I had given up on being called back by this point, but still held out a little hope. Noone called me back. Took 2 days to even figure out what had happened to the rug. I've been told it's on its way this week, although I'm not holding my breath. It has been a terrible experience for my wife and I as we try and settle into our new home. Again, it's not the fact that it came on a day other than the 6th, it's the fact that no one was ever able to give us an answer. And no one ever called us back to let us know what was going on.
Great experience with Conroys from start to finish, we were really happy and would definitely recommend to others!
