We did not use you , Conroy purchased parts from us
Only complaint was that most of our belongings in storage smelt very musty when we unpacked them, which may have been due to dampness in the container or the way it had been stored. I'm not sure if your storage is climate controlled, but this is something we would keep in mind if we ever put items into storage again. However, customer service was great, and movers were fantastic.
I have been so impressed by the hard work, well organised team and friendly service. The job I had moving a 4 bedroom, 3 car garage home was huge. I couldn't have done it without you. The quality of packing was great, everyone appreciated the limitation around timing to get the key for the new house and everyone worked so hard to make it happen. Most of all - you are all a bunch of good fella's (and women) and I enjoyed the great team vibe. Thanks so much. Nikki
A really cheerful, professional bunch of people to have dealt with. Great service!
Thank you
Good job done. A couple of things got broken
Broken items and it took two weeks for my items to get to Greytown from Wellington. Little contact with Wellington office as to what was going on.
Multiple things were broken, leg of draws was broken- think this happened in perth when the movers were packing up furniture
The overall experience was great, although the pick up left me stuck at home all day with the movers showing up at 7:30 at night. I know you had a driver down or something, but a little heads up would have allowed me to go to work instead of waiting around the house all day. I wasn’t given a call the business day before or given any approximate pick up time so I had to ensure I was home all day.
We were really happy with the team that removed our 5 piece lounge suite and the team that delivered the lounge suite to my parent's place in Rotorua. However, unfortunately there is a rip in the back of one of the pieces of the sofa. I can provide a photo of the rip. Our sofa has previously been shipped from Singapore to Malaysia to New Zealand without any marks. I believe the rip could have been prevented by having the sofa wrapped in plastic at my home prior to it being placed in the truck and the wrapped in plastic at Conroy's warehouse. I should have ensured that each sofa piece was wrapped prior to it being placed in the truck. Other than that I am happy to recommend Conroy and will in fact be requesting a quote to move our household from Epsom to Te Atatu Peninsula.
I used Conroy removals to transport my household items from the Manawatu, down to Southland
Quoting:
During the quoting process, i was prompted to use the online service for quoting goods to be transported. I was unable to complete this service as the video and audio kept cutting out. This was most likely due to the speed from my internet service provider, but the entire process was difficult. Finally after sorting and accepting a quote, and a week or so before the move, I received an email telling me to 'book my move' with a broken link. Extremely confused (as I thought I had organized everything already) I sent an email to my contact person asking about this link. Close to a week later I still had not received a reply. I decided to call at the start of a work day, but got no response so I left a message for someone to contact me. Later in the day, still no response so I called again. This time I was told that the email was an automated system email that I didn't need to worry about, but the fact I had to wait a week to get a response about this was extemely unacceptable.
Lead-up to move:
During the moving process, a shifting date was organized which was good. During the moving process I was working full time, so I made early communication to try and organize an approximate time for the shift to occur (morning?, mid-day?, afternoon?), to which I was told that someone would contact me closer to the move. 2 days before the move i tried making contact but never received a reply. The day before the move I contacted your department again early to try organize the move for the next day so that I could organize when I should leave work to meet the movers, i was told there had been no plan made yet, but that i would get a call back to let me know as soon as they had made a decision, but nearing the end of my work day I still had not received any contact. By this stage I was forced to take the next day off due to uncertainty of what time the move would occur, but by 4pm i called again and was told sometime in the afternoon the next day. Due to your organization I was forced to lose an entire day of wages waiting around for your moving company.
Pick-Up:
Pick up went smoothly, the crew were excellent.
Lead-up to drop off:
The organized day of drop off was initially neglected, as I was called to say that the moving truck would be there the day before I had previously organized even though I was nowhere near the designated drop off area yet. After a few more phone calls this was organized back to the originally quoted day, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place.
Drop Off:
Drop off went smoothly.
However, numerous amounts of damage have been noted on my belongings. My desk drawers and cupboards have been smashed off their runners, and some runners smashed from their fastenings, also damage to the back of the desk. I noted that a box I had written fragile across was stacked sideways in the truck, and in it was smashed drinking glasses, and picture frames which I now have to sort out. My dog kennel was stored on its end, and the iron roof has been bent substantially on the corners. The final thing that irritates me, is the numbering stickers that your company attaches for tracking items have been wrapped around the necks of my guitars, these stickers are not easily removed, and is likely they will have to remain on the guitars in pieces, along with their sticky residue, this is not acceptable for valuable items. I would highly recommend finding another method for attaching tracking stickers to valuable items.
All in all, I was not happy with your service at all, communication was difficult, and the shipping of my goods resulted in numerous amounts of damage that I am now forced to sort out. I definitely will not be using your servces again, and I have already begun to advise against using your services to my fellow peers.
Great service, definitely recommend.
