"once again the service was absolutely glorious"
This is the second time I've used Conroy's services and once again the service was absolutely glorious from start to finish. Derek, who came to our house and gave a decent, professional look around and a real, detailed quote. Then Mike, Gracie and Glenn who packed our things up so beautifully and carefully. Such good friendly folk to have around and so trustworthy. And Glenn (again) and Adam who unloaded in Chch for us putting everything in the right places, and Glenn's happy face again when he picked up our boxes when we'd finished upacking! What a stellar team. Would 25 out of 10 recommend to all my friends and family!

This is the second move we’ve done with Conroys and quite happy with the job they did this time and previously...both times the job involved pick up for storage, and we packed the items using boxes and sleeves for packing. Costs were competitive and clear.

Team were late in picking up from Auckland. We were not advised by phone what time they would arrive. Packing team were great as were the unloading team at the other end. Only grievence is a damaged floor lamp on delivery. Claim has been submitted to Conroys.Hoping for a speedy outcome and hassle free. Maybe you should try out different labels that remove easier from furniture, we have spent lots of time having to find removal solutions as labels split and left stickiness. We did find 2 scratches on the dining table and a wooden headboard.

the real answer to questions 2 and 3 is 'possibly'. I was very disappointed at the manpower allocated to the packing job - initially planned as one; upped to two at my insistence; but as predicted, really needed to be three. As a result, packing was not completed in the scheduled time and needed a second day, with knock on issues. This is NOT a criticism of the individuals who did the packing, who worked extremely hard and efficiently.

I was just a little frustrated on the pick up day, after being told of a time change/delay, that I struggled to contact anyone who could let me know how late the truck might be. I ended up waiting for quite a long time and, by the time the truck arrived, the storage facility was closed for the day and I was left to operate roller doors etc.
It would have been good to have had more numbers divert to a real person

Great service. The guys took lots of care with my furniture and moved fast. They can pick up heavy furniture as if it's a feather! I have used Conroy's company 3 times now and they have always been accomodating to my requests.
Unable to give excellent rating for two reasons.
Firstly, our belongings from the UK arrived at Port Chalmers, Dunedin and there was a long delay in delivering them to our house in Wanaka area, not helped by the fact that (according to the driver) they had been transported up to Christchurch from Dunedin and then down to Wanaka! We had no communication from Conroy Removals as to why it took 3 weeks from the MPI inspection to delivery at our house.
Secondly, although the truck driver who delivered our belongngs was very skilled and efficient, the local assistant (casual worker) employed to help unload was not keyed in to the job. He didn't take proper note of the contents of packages, especially that some were fragile. He caused damage to a glass doored wall cabinet when he dropped it off a sack trolley. Foolishly he had placed two of these units side by side on the trolley with a box on top. This was damage that could have been avoided with the correct attention to the job in hand. Thankfully the glass was not broken but the edge of the unit was dented. There were four other items that were found to be cracked/broken, but it is not possible to know if that damage occurred during delivery or earlier in the shipment.
