I requested the movers to use the blanket I supplied to protect the timber floors when moving heavy cabinetry - unfortunately they did not do this and now the floors have deep big dents and scratches and are in need of repairs. Not happy.
We used Conroy around 13 months ago to move us to Lyttelton and were happy with the result so booked again.
We were surprised to learn you sent a huge truck for our hill move, last time you sent a smaller truck that could park on our driveway. The truck sent increased the distance to move each item and blocked part of the hill road.
The driver informed us on arrival he had requested a different hill team. He acknowledged the team sent were not hill fit. The team worked hard and were very friendly but it was clear they struggled physically with this move.
Would you have sent this team if on an agreed rate? I don’t think so and believe it unethical to have sent a team who were not fit for purpose.
My car was delivered damaged and yet I was declined my claim which I paid insurance for. Conroys took no responsibility. Absolutely appalling and disgusting service.
The staff at both ends were great to deal with and on the whole, look care with our goods. After having just spent 3 hours picking tissue paper off the soft oils on our paintings may I suggest you refrain from covering the oil paintings with this material in future.
The teams were great both loading and the unloading end, efficient and friendly, and great driving skiils handling 2 difficult driveways. The Conroy admin team were very easy to communicate with and gave excellent customer service!
