Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersIt cost me $370 to ship 2 standard sized doors from Auckland to Otaki. I was told that was because doors and windows have a special rate. The doors were less than 20kg each, were not bulky (flat and shallow), and made only of wood. Where was the need for a special rate? That price felt totally excessive.
The people who delivered the goods were excellent, they picked up on damage from the outset and pointed it out to us which was appreciated, they told us they would come back to remove the rubbish but we disposed of the rubbish ourselves in this instance. It is a good service to offer. We were told we have 2 weeks to report the damage, this is what I am doing tonight as two weeks is up on Tuesday? Perhaps they could have left us with a form or where to find a form on which to claim for your damages?
Because our shipment has taken so long on its journey we were disappointed that it had to go from Christchurch to Napier to come back to Christchurch but it was an understandable explanation that was given to us.
Communication and Packing from Orbit could definitely be improved.
More communication is required from your company regarding when furniture will be delivered. While it took around 2 weeks for our furniture to come from Singapore to Auckland, it took almost 5 weeks for the furniture to make the 3 and half hour journey from Auckland to Kerikeri. We were very much in the dark as to when we could expect the furniture and this caused difficulties for us regarding alternative accommodation. The men who unloaded the boxes were very nice but they seemed to be overloaded with other work so did not open all the boxes for us (as per our contract). All in all I thought the service was pretty lacklustre.

I have been calling every day looking for my late mother’s furniture which I told your company was so precious to me. Every day I have been fobbed off. I was sold this service initially that the items would be with me overnight then two days then it stretched to 5 days now 9 days later nothing! It is a distressing time and your lack of service is totally disgusting. My son is moving his household from Auckland in two weeks time he got a quote from you around the same time as me I have told him to cancel because you cannot be trusted. I paid you in full nearly two weeks ago.
