Good communication through our. Significantly cheaper than other removal companies. However, we have noticed damage on multiple items we brought over which was extremely disappointing as we had heard great feedback from others who had used conroys previously and everything was delivered in perfect condition. We have had a broken television foot, dents in a tool chest and damage to the edge of our dining table, which was near new when leaving NZ. The staff in NZ were great, on time and efficient.
The aus staff were also on time and efficient but one staff member continued to antagonise my dog who has high anxiety and does not like males. I told him this but he continued to antagonise her till I locked her away. She is a very calm and mellow dog who stays away from people she doesn't know.
I would use again if we were to move back from aus to NZ due to how signicantly cheaper it was but would request extra care and packaging on our more valuable items to avoid damage.
Very satisfied
A smooth operation from Day 1 packing up my house to removing all items and safely depositing at my new home. Staff were very efficient , hard working, friendly and careful with all my goods. Nothing was a bother to them Overall a well run operation from appraisal, booking, to completion of job and well priced. Very satisfied!
The move was great, just would have liked better communication throughout the process. I had to do a lot of chasing to find out my uplift time and delivery time. The delivery was also a later than advised and I had to reschedule my day. Minor in the grand scheme of things though and I would use you guys again.
The comms have been excellent, but the overall cost was expensive, particularly taking the lounge suite the short distance from Main Beach to Arundel at a cost of around $A700.00.
Overall, the move was very smoothly executed. At some times, I thought there could have been better communication, but all came right in the end.
This was my second time using your service and I have to say that the crew we had the first time were better. Not quite as much care was taken this time and a leg was snapped off the hall stand.
I was really happy with the customer service I received, everyone was very helpful and friendly, however some of my things were damaged as it seems they were packed together too tightly. For example, my couch has a significant scrape along the frame, as does my bed, and my dresser has some damage to the front (my dresser was actually dropped twice, once on pick up near the truck and once on delivery in my bedroom). My bins were all we wedged together and this caused damage to one. I can provide photos if needed. It would be good to hear back from you on this, I think that more care needs to be taken when packing things together in the truck and storage, perhaps more wraps needed to be used. Thanks, Jacqui.
Efficient
The team members were lovely and introduced themselves which I always appreciate. There service was prompt and efficient with good communication so would have no hesitation in recommending and resuing.
Great service however boxes very damaged and furniture broken and dented on arrival.
Communication at the Christchurch end was good but not so good at the Auckland end when we had been told a pick-up time and the truck arrived about 2 hours late without any contact letting us know what was happening. We know how bad Auckland traffic is so would have understood but were panicked at not having any info and knowing we had to complete cleaning the rental and be out by the end of the day. However the Auckland loading and Christchurch unloading teams both worked hard and we appreciated their efforts.
In the main the move went smoothly. Sadly there were four items that suffered damage during the move which was disappointing.
The whole process, from seeking a quote, right through to the day of the move was so easy. Your communication team and the moving team are top notch! I've never hired a moving company before, so it was such a relief that this went so well. However, I have only given 4 stars, instead of 5. This is only because of a couple minor incidents of damage. Otherwise, you guys are great! The moving team arrived, and got stuck in. They were polite and professional and very hard working. Thank you Barry and Alfie! The communication team, Doug and Rachel , who kept me in the loop the whole way, shared links to packing tips etc, thank you too. Knowing what's happening and so forth, eases the process. Conroy Removals are very good at what they do. Definitely value for money, as moving house is an expensive process. Their website is one of the easiest to navigate, and their response to queries is so fast and spot on, which is why I chose them over the half a dozen other companies that I sought quotes from.
