The best thing about Conroys, for us, was their price which was substantially lower than the competition. Their communication is a little ordinary and they take no notice whatsoever of anything marked fragile, so pack well. Even though they visited our property to assess access there was total chaos when the truck actually arrived with no one really seemingly in charge. The team were great and worked hard and generally put things in the right place but not always. They have no system to check what goes on the truck so its a bit of a lottery if everything comes off the truck. If you book Conroy then be aware that, for us, the price was a bit of a reflection of the service. We would certainly use them again but we learnt a lot from this move and would apply those learnings if and when we ever move again,

Overall everything has gone well so far, the Moving Maids who packed our HHGPE were great, very pleasant and easy to talk to. They seemed thorough on their packing and gave us lots of insight and answered all of our queries. The only gripe is really the lack of communication advising when the packers were going to come, after being told that we would receive a call from someone the day before - this didn't happen. My advice on this is to under promise and over deliver on your communications, if you tell us that you are going to contact us the day before, then call us the day before. This creates unrequired worry / anxiety if the packers are going to come.The next day was the same, the movers were great, extremley pleasant and well presented, communicated well with us and highly expereinced. They helped out and were mindful of our circumstances with young children to deal with also. They were a bit surprised about a few things to do with a queen size slat base that needed to be packed down but were helpful with this and gave us some assistance. I guess it shows a slight disconenct between the info at quoting time to the movers on the day, which I would imagine is quite common in the removal industry. We received a txt message the day before advising that the movers were to arrive at 8:30am, they didn't arrive until around 11am, which once again caused a bit of angst / anxiety, it would of been good if someone had phoned at 8:30am to advise of the delay. The movers apologised when they arrived, advising they had been on another delivery at a school. The delay was fine in itself, however its just the communication that could be improved. They did a great job and there was no apparent damge to our house, the guys were strong and worked really effeceintly and quickly, we were very impressed.Overall a great packing and moving expereince with a few improvements on communications.Fingers crossed for a great outturn in Queenstown!
