2. The delivery arrangement did not cater the capet situation, it'd better to arrange a mat and plastic shield to wrap mover's spot shoes...
All the dealings I had with Napier staff were excellent, the 2 Gisborne guys who loaded the truck were awesome, however the guys who unloaded in Tga were, to quote my daughter who received the goods.. "cowboys". They were rough and some of my furniture is damaged
Delivery of my furniture was due on Thursday 26 March, day after total shutdown. However Mark pulled a rabbit out of a hat and managed to arrange it for Tuesday afternoon. He couldn’t get extra labour though due to the shutdown so it was just going to be the driver and me! While I managed to help with a few items, Robin (the driver) pretty much did it all himself so I rate him as an absolute hero. Both Robin and Mark are absolute stars for enabling me to move into my house before the shutdown!!! I’m very grateful.
Conroys have moved us from Nz to Australia, Australia to Nelson and back to Napier and have always been excellent to deal with. Their communication is excellent and the staff that arrive to pack and unpack are gret.

The email auto updates three weeks into March said congratulations the packages have passed customs. They don't say what's next. So we are still with the same simple question of when is it roughly due. Then another auto email saying it passed quarentine, which we had no idea about and still the same basic question from the family of when is it roughly due. All I'm saying is the auto emails could do with saying the delivery next has xxxx days to do xxxx, and could be due in xxxx days. Delivery arrived at 18 of March three weeks later than quoted and 7 weeks between picking up and dropping off and for the price I'm really happy.
Your staff are awesome, the guy in Perth and cam and Napier team Monica and the boys dropping it off in the truck were all awesome and super friendly. Good business. The two guys in Perth who picked up the delivery were brisk and to be honest rough, wheeling two boxes high in the hand trolley down stairs almost bouncing the boxes down the staircase because they were lowering the trolley down onto each step too quickly. I really had to watch and pray during that stage. just a little few things to tighten on the communication for the families awaiting their gear but overall 9/10 cheers!
And you wrapped my dinghy up for free, thanks! I went and got a new Bunnings packaging blanket for the dinghy and the blanket didn't actually make it back to me unfortunately.
Poor communication at NZ end. Constantly had to try and get pick up time details and still didn't get them when the guy turned up on the Monday morning. Had specified a NZ phone and contact details and this was ignored. Left voicemails with the NZ number when I got to NZ and that was also ignored. Disappointing
However pick up/delivery guys were brilliant. plastic tubs didn't travel well but the foam wrap kept most stuff intact. Perhaps advise people to repack as they won't survive. So a few breakages but I accepted that as should've packed it better! thanking you.
Both the packers were really careful & respectful & did a fantastic job with a good sense of humour. There were an extra 3 people to help unload so 5 in total so that was very hectic & a bit more rushed but very helpful.
