Everything was perfect except for one thing. When it was time for our stuff to be collected, Conroys sent only one person to do everything. It was very clear that the poor guy was struggling especially with the big heavy stuff! My daughter, who had chronic asthma had to give him a hand in lifting, which was a BIG NO NO!  

The only issue I had is that a few things were broken in the shift.  The antique sideboard was dropped when loading into the van and broke the leg off.  A couch leg was also broken and a lamp.  They used tape to put the antique leg back on and temporairly fixed the couch which broke again that night.  The team were aware they broke these things but tried to keep it quiet.

The team were really lovely though and worked hard.

We recently moved from North Lincolnshire in the UK to Taranaki, New Zealand and Ballards Removal Services handled our move at the UK end. They were excellent in every respect with prompt quoting, competitive price, good communication, professional packing. They came to the house when they did the quote and we believe we benefited from this approach over the video quotes we received. When it came to moving, the packers were a pleasure to have in the house and we felt that our belongings were being well looked after. We would thoroughly recommend Ballards.

We could track our shipping container while it was in transit. Conway Removals took over before the container arrived in New Zealand and, again, we had excellent communication and prompt service. The delivery people were professional and were also a pleasure to have in the house. Again we felt that our belongings were being well looked after.  

The reason why I gave the overall service a 4 instead of a 5 is that the truck which delivered our belongings from Tauranga to Taranaki had a leak and some of our cartons were wet, with one being so wet it disintegrated as soon as it was picked up (fortunately it contained a plastic container which gave some protection to the contents). Some bed linen was wet through and some documents were also wet. Fortunately the damage was minor and didn't warrant a claim but we were lucky that duvets which were under the bed linen and more documentation weren't affected. This damage must have occurred after the truck was loaded the day before. The truck driver was very upset when he saw what had happened. Our belongings had come all that way and otherwise were in perfect condition and to have this happen on the last leg of the journey was very disappointing. It's unacceptable to have a leaky truck when your business is a removal service. 

Our experience of moving with Convoys was generally very good .The packing of our belongings in Auckland was done with care and efficiency and the unloading in Napier was also very smooth -Darren and Bradley did a great job ! One small comment however,we were not informed that the container was to be freighted over night and our trolley was not returned (probably mistaken as one of the companies ,an easy mistake to make)... Otherwise all good Thanks Convoys !!
