but this did not happen, as the manager rung and informed us the day before that the men would be our way by 9am (which they were) and try and do it the same day
He asked me to contact him as soon as the settlement went through, but when I did he was not really interested in what I had to say
So the 2 men delivered our things - they were tired and in a hurry because it was getting late and they had had a long day.
Concerned that they did not actually get a good 1/2 hour time out - like a 12 hour shift and there should be more than that - time out.
I feel they were "pushed" to complete the work - where if this had been communicated to us - like be HONEST - as we had already booked a motel room and Nathan and Kirsty had assured us 3 times - that it would be a stop overnight process.
The guys were great and pleasant. I hope they get well paid for the time, effort and long hours they do. We feel they were pressured to complete the job that day - and really they should have turned up at 8am as promised - which meant they would not have hurried so much with the delivery. If my husband had not helped then they would have been longer - which was no sweat.

I booked online a week before the move & I hadn't heard from Conroy's so I called them the day before the move & Peter told me the job hadn't been booked in so he went & booked the job in. Our 2 movers were great.
The guys we had to help us shift were very helpful and did a great job, just a shame the truck wasn't abit bigger so that everything fitted in , in one load.
Service was very good, employees very friendly and helpful. I still have one item (Box) missing. Some items have water damage.
Thrilled with Conroys right through! The delays were not their fault and everyone was polite and kind. However upon the unloading ... DISASTER struck. We had our sons helping and all was done in 2 hours but the employees did not appear to follow our instructions and our goods were not placed : they were just thrown anywhere and we did not know until after they left. They were kind, appeared to work very hard but did not work as a team : even the head guy told them several times to calm down andvtakevitveafy. Result was broken furniture damaged framed pictures and no packing undone or rubbish removal as promised. In saying this they were polite, efficient, and we'd recommend Conroys 200% but the un packers just needed supervision that we could not give: given one party is 80 yrs old and the 2nd party is 64 with a fractured knee it was "awkward" to be as mobile as we needed to be and direct the men more precisely.... but Conroys are a great form overall and we are delighted with the service just not the hiccup at the end.
Communication was poorly lost between the freight company in UAE and conroy movers. Once it was corrected the customer service was very good. More info could have been given to me about customs clearance times and estimated elivery. The unloading crew were fantastic. Unloaded a full 20ft container into storage in 1 hour. Was a bit upset about how the container was reloaded. After making sure certain boxes were looked after in UAE and treated carefully I found my expensive photo printer was standing on its end when being delivered. Even with arrows pointing upright on the box. Lucky no ink damage inside the printer. Overall a good experience and I would use them again for moving.
Thanks for your service. The Auckland end didn't go well at all and I had to purchase and pack my own boxes as the person taking down the details forgot that there were a few boxes items. The chairs were scratched unfortunately as they were stacked together without any barrier paper. A large pewter bowl ($3000 when purchased) was bent in half because it had been packed with another heavy item. It will never be the same now. That said the Napier end of things in Napier was good and I'll use your services again Thank you.
The only gap was the length of time the item took to land with no communication inbetween to update where and when it would land (3 weeks from pick up to delivery). I followed up by email and the item landed the next day so prompt action followed a request. Apart from this Conroys have always delivered for me and I have no hesitation in recommending them and do so!
A prompt effecient move. The staff were friendly and helpful and were good with communication.
Thank you so much for going above and beyond helping our move stay on time in the middle of a COVID announcement! Special thanks to the Auckland loading team, who were accommodating and helpful in spite of poor weather and lockdown announcements, and to the Wellington delivery team working extra to get the move done on schedule.
Our stuff got some cosmetic damage, but nothing unacceptable or unexpected. The move was very competitively quoted, and all of our stuff made it! Customer service was stellar, thank you Rebecca and Scott. Would happily use Conroy's again :)
I am waiting feedback on 2 x items picked up by mistake by the movers; I communicated with Conroy and it was noted but have yet to receive response from my email. Also, when calling the 0800 number, it takes a long time for the phone to be answered. Otherwise I am very happy wiht the service especially with Rebecca This is the 3rd we have used Conroy in a year!
