Hi there, the team we had were amazing, the job was efficient and the boys worked really hard to get us in to our new home in a timely manner. They did an amazing job and we were very grateful.
some of the packing was rip shit and bust leading to damaged goods on unpacking. However, below the excess for insurance claim
I found my move priced well, communicated well by friendly people and items handled in an excellent manner.
Sadly truck leaked a considerable amount of oil onto our new concrete driveway while parked also when stopped at entrance a discount would be much appreciated as we had to spend sometime to try and remove it very difficult
I was impressed. Just one negative point - neither I nor my daughter was called to tell us when the delivery in Auckland would take place. They just turned up and luckily we were at home.
Overall, a very good experience. One downside, Conroy Auckland Branch scheduled the pick-up time to be afternoon, giving only 1 business days notice. This was unworkable for me as this was conveyancing day following sale of the property, so my exit fom the house would have been too late for transfer to allow new owners possesion on that day. It took some pressure from me for a reluctant change to a morning uplift. With plenty of time with my booking the service, I should not have been pushed around for the convenience of Conroys. If my job was to be a burden on Conroys work schedule, then they should not have accepted the job, or alternatively, sub-contracted it out. However, on the day, the crew turned up in good time and had me out of the house in plenty of time.
The following day, delivery in at my new address in Napier actually did not happen until 4 pm; the container only came down from Auckland that (following) day. This timing was OK, but communication could have been better so I would have known that it would be later in the day. The 3-man crew who delivered the furniture were outstanding. I salute them, great workers, good communication and took good care.
Better communication around delivery time would be good
