We did not want that and the arrangement was to deliver on the following Monday ( as booked ) . I had a third party helping who then made a phone call to me to question the arrangement etc. Best if the drivers / collectors said nothing and just stuck to the plan - I know they were trying to help , but it just compounded our arrangements.
Otherwise - Prompt quote, prompt communication from Ops Maanger to arrange pick up time, Collection arrived on time and good comms on Akl for drop off.
Great team and communication was good. Made the move easy.
Conroys were very easy to deal with in Australia and New Zealand. The guys who packed us in Australia were very efficient and respectful with our furniture. We had to put our furniture in storage in NZ as our contract fell through on our the house we brought. Conroys were very obliging in helping us out. We have had a couple of small crockery breakages and a part on one of the push bikes but we are not worried about it. Really overall nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I have already recommended Conroys on social media.
The workers provided to remove our furniture and boxes of books were excellent and hardworking for such a big job. Our only issue with the company was that more workers could have been provided to help them. There were a lot of heavy items up and down stairs for so few.
Thanks for the opportunity to give feedback. Olive and the moving guys were excellent at their jobs and great commuinicators. Olive especially was kind, patient, friendly and thorough. Only Sally was a let-down. My son (Wellington) and I (Hamilton) realised at 1730 the night before the move that neither of us could find a scheduled time in all our correspondence with Conroy. We both rang Conroy and left messages but it was too late. Since the move at my end occurred at 0800 my son arrived early to the Wellington destination. It was with bemusement that I received this from Sally at 0838 on the day - no apology for lack of communication, no acknowledgement of our distressed calls the night before. She probably thinks she did her part. I'm angry at being this casually treated and dismissed by her.:
Dear Simone,We are pleased to confirm that your move is scheduled for the following dates;15/03/22 09:30 DeliveryKind regards,Sally
Hi.
Just one thing went wrong in packup (as far as i know as we have not unpacked yet) that was a broken picture glass. The staff brought my attention to it immediately and I was able to separate the glass pieces from the picture without damage to the picture so the only loss was the glass. I was happy with them for being honest about it. that was definitely best.
On the unpack we had more problems which i hope the ops team can assist in resolving. the main issue was not getting everything in the right place (i was not there due to covid). the double mattress did not find its way inside to be with the double bed (its at the back of the garage and hard to get out) The large size conroy boxes used to pack the kitchen did not end up in the kitchen (maybe not labeled??). The boxes packed into the garage could have been packed better (boxes against walls with stuff in the middle) so access to any box only involved moving one or two boxes rather than about 20 or 30 which is how it is at present. Or could have stacked with a central isle.

Communication wise i think it would be great to have a single email address you can use during the execution phase of the move.
Was kept updated most of the times but would have preferred a bit more communication when furniture was collected (i.e. estimated time of arrival a few days in advance).
The Conroy team were great... very friendly, helpful and respectful. Everything arrived without any damage and placed in line with our guidance... reducing the unpacking hassles considerably. Particular mention of Jerome and his partner (Robbie?). These two supermen lifted our extremely heavy couch (it wouldn't fit in through the house entry) from the garden up onto the deck (at least 15ft) and with able assistance from our other helpers, managed to let us have a lounge suite to move into... god knows what we would have done without this.
All in all another great service from Conroys.
Everything went pretty smoothly with the team knowing what they were doing. COVID did seem to reduce the number of the team available but those that turned up did their best and got the job done.
